Why do you think Pacquiao even stands a chance of beating Mayweather?

Obviously these are other factors. If Pacquiao is so fast that even if Clottey came forward he would not get any punches in, then whats the point but cover up and save yourself.

You're just being argumentative of the sake of it. It is barely relevant to the thread.

i'm basing my argument on your statement that clottey was not hurt against pacquiao which i am trying for you to admit that you are wrong.

if you want my thread opinion, i'm the wrong pac fan since i always thought that floyd would win because of the size and styles advantage. but don't be a fool to be misled that it is a 100% sure win since there is no such thing in boxing. also floyd has never fought anyone before with the combination speed, workrate and power that pacquiao has before. pac could outwork floyd like he did marquez onto a decision or he could have hurt floyd early on that could dictate the outcome of the fight.

so back to the clottey didn't hurt pacquiao statement, are you willing to admit that you are wrong?

The ONLY way I can see Pac taking this is off work rate, but even then his work rate WILL drop against Mayweather. I suppose there is a chance he catches Floyd off guard and knocks him down a couple of times to somehow squeak by a victory, but I think Floyd's chin is underrated.

They think that Pac even stands a chance because they are so far detached from reality and they are wishful thinkers. They are the same people who thought Floyd was going to jail for 34 years. Floyd's about to plead no contest and get a fine and couple of days in jail if even that. No more excuses for Bob Arum. He's going to be around for May 5th. Bring Manny to Vegas on that night Bob.

I dont remember Clottey being hurt, though I dont remember a lot of the fight as I tried to erase it from my memory. As a Clottey fan it was a loss and a boring one at that.

Puncher's chance at best but Pacquiao is tailor-made for a counter puncher like Floyd & Marquez. No patience, can't cut ring, throws very wild punches, and can't throw short punches inside. Floyd pushes his **** in.

just to refresh your memory, hozumi. if you watched the hbo coverage of pac-margarito, jim lampley had a chance to interview margarito days before the fight and joshua clottey mentioned to margarito that pac has the power to hurt him, in which case, margarito could not believe pac has the power of a super welter (as mentioned on the hbo 24/7 series).

go on, you can now erase that memory since i've reminded you already. one thing's for sure, you won't be able to erase the memory of margarito's face after his fight with pac. :hi:

    no power? :rofl

I like this thread. I miss these kinds of threads from 3 years ago where the majority here gave Pac no chance above 130. This will be a nice bump.

LOL you totally highjacked my thread. I created this thread like 3 months ago asking PAC fans for LOGICAL answers. Oh well, copying is the best form of flattery I suppose.

hmmm if your logic really holds water, can i safely say that marcos maidana can walk around and tell everyone that FMJ is fighting his leftover (Ortiz). Plus the fact that maidana made him quit while he was looking (no sucker punches in that fight if i remember correctly).

I never saw your thread, otherwise I would searched for the answers in it when I thought of this earlier. I didn't really want to get involved with the whole *******/***** thing, so it would've been better if I knew of it.

Feel free to bump to your hearts content if the fight happens and Pacquiao wins. Ridicule me as much as you want if he does. :good

    no power?

So many children on this site who try and put words in people's mouth to add weight to their pathetic points and arguments.

Pacquiao has great power, but I dont remember him hurting Clottey in a boring and uneventful fight.

That's pretty much the definition of a troll.

So you're admitting to being a troll here.

Here, despite your earlier claims to be just a neutral bystander, you betray yourself as one of Floyd's legion of fans. Trolling.

Very clearly, Floyd doesn't share your confidence. He has invented excuses to avoid fighting Pac. If he felt as you do about the outcome, he would have fought him a long time ago, shored up his legacy, recovered his #1 spot and made an alltime-high-in-all-of-boxing payday.

But he hasn't. Wonder why not.

The only obvious answer is that he fears Pac.
