Frazier rearranged his face and they had to stop that...
And Foreman, as I recall, was giving him instant Alzheimers if that wasn't stopped. They didn't stop for nothing in those days.

And ALi went to the hospital because he admitted he was stupid for letting CHuvalo punch him many times in the kidney area.

Povetkin, Helenius, Ustinov and Chisora haven't been down yet despite notching up a good few fights between them against good opposition.

I count Vitali as going down against Sanders, though it wasn't a punch that put him directly down, he was rocked very badly beforehand and under a lot of pressure so shrewdly went down to have it ruled a push

Doesn't say much for vitaly as sanders was well past prime and overweight by then

george chuvalo is also still very mentally sharp and has no health problems related to the punches he took inside the ring.
not just a great chin, but a tough, tough man.

This era: Dominick Guinn has never been down. I believe Ross Puritty has not either.

He's sparred the who's who of HW's and has never been dropped by anyone. This guy was a 17 year old fat kid beating Shannon Briggs arse around the gym in his prime. Wladimir could take a baseball bat with him in the ring and he still couldn't knock out Welliver.

I haven't seen him fight but he said it was his good defense. Of course he would stand on his head while chewing gum(look at his damn cheeks, all muscle ) or talk to the phone.
He also had a really short neck.

Look at how many unanswered punches he took for the last minute, he was hurt and not punching back.

I keep hearing from you about sparring this and sparring that but this all unsubstantiated...maybe he got dropped in sparring by some heavy he did face...he might never admit that though....nice try:bbb

let me know when Welliver is facing a live body....

    what about james toney?
i remember him taking a count against roy jones, when he lost his balance and stumbled into the ropes, but i never remember him being actually on the canvas.
