Michael Gomez Film????

no, they didnt have the funds for it. I was speaking Jody latham (LIP) who was gonna play Michael in it and thats what he said

Was any of it actually properly filmed? I know they made a promo trailer for it which is floating around somewhere. It didn't look very good to be honest.

 

With the cast, script & budget they had, it was impossible to make a feature film, not even a **** one, so they changed it to a 50 minute porno, not unlike a Ben Dover title.

 

I think its pretty much dead in the water. After the original promo came out, which was made to bring in backers, filming started again but quickly stopped.

I would say it would be difficult to resurrect but I'd love if some station came in a saved it to salvage at least a programme out of what they have gotten.

A think they had it all wrong as well summat like 30 sex scenes were goin in script!! Not good when he's been married 16 yrs! Also the book was coming out first last time I spoke to author Gregor Kyle the money generated had been spent! He has written the book but no publisher would take it! Lip did play Gomez and Barney mchugh as Jennings and he was producer to!

 

shame really, would think his life would have made a good film, lip looks like he would have played the part well, looks like him too

always thought gomez was a **** anyway. came across terribly in interviews. read a few books where he comes across a **** too and heard stories of what he was like in manchester on a night out. and now fighting 'white collar / unlicensed'

about what he deserves.

Been in some great fights, always value for money, always gave everything in the ring and had a go. And if he can get £1000 for 12 minutes work unlicesend boxing wearing big gloves fighting non-punchers then why not? 4 kids to buy Christmas presents for.

Not sure what books u been reading? Or what interviews? Always thought he was entertaining in and out the ring

 

But Gomez did used to come across as a "****". That was his thing. It was kind of Shameless before Shameless. It was "**** you wankers, I'm a gypo and I'll smash you brains in, nab the cash, I'll **** it up the wall and be back next month to do the same".

I found it entertaining, he wasnt trying to be a white knight. Every film needs a baddie and Gomez often played that role.

i wouldnt say it to his face no. as he would undoubtedly batter me. and maybe **** was a bit harsh but in my view he wasnt a nice guy. and i know it was only 1 punch but he did kill someone.

he was in some amazing fights but also threw 1 fight and i thought pretty much quit in a couple. but my dislike of him may be clouding my memory.

cant remember the book but will have a look when i get home.

i do retract the white collar comment though.
