Here we go again.... Mundine update, just in case u don't want to click on

Its not reporting, its publicity, wouldnt be surprised if he was slipped a coupla bucks for his trouble.

Its a slow time of year just before xmas, in between tests, eff all else sports wise happening.

Mundine spouts off his usual dribble, the telegraph get to fill out another column in its sports section and believe or not people read it. Sure both parties saw it as win/win. But even the most casual boxing fan would see it for what it is these days.

 

Goes further than that.

My issue is with a moron who knows nothing about boxing giving a mic and a stage to another moron, recording what he knows ( ??)is bull**** and supporting the bull**** with his own comments. Then putting pen to paper and printing the crap.

Im sure im not the only one who feels the oz media have given choc and to a lesser extent green a free pass when it comes to this. Part of it is because the media are part of the circus...it sells papers. But a lot of it is just sheer ignorance from writers who would be clowned by charlie zelenoff in a boxing knowledge test.

 

A man flying to the moon with a cape is impossible, no question about it, but it's not impossible for Mundine to attempt to fight JCC jr at 160 then attempt to pile on 7.2lbs (the journo said 76kgs) to fight KW at 9 months later. He's certainly got the cash to be able to tempt KW over here.

Of course it will never happen, and the journo is in no way saying it will, he's simply written an article based on Mundine's statements.

It's not his job to edit Mundine's statements later, even when someone is quoted as stating an untruth, the reporter is not entitled to edit the quote - that would be censorship.

You guys expect the journo ta do what exactly? Not write the article? Write the article but add a disclaimer saying "Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger. I know Anthony Mundine spins bull**** and everything I've quoted him saying is crap lol."

 

Gee I don't know, maybe his boss told him to go and interview Mundine for an article?

Maybe he wouldn't be able to buy his missus a Christmas present if he didn't get paid for writing the article?

at the very least, id expect the reporter to show some integrity and do his job objectivly not subjectivly. He isnt really being fair to readers who have read the same dribble from Mundine for yrs. Its not like the first time Mundine said he was going to fight in USA and he only recently just said on Main Event PPV that he was blacklisted? WTF happen to being objective and asking some follow up questions?

Hows he going to fight in USA if he is blacklisted as he claimed on National TV?

How does he think he would take a punch from a legit CW champion given a Middleweight in Garth Woods knocked him out?

People are sick of reading the same fluff bullsht article on Mundine, its been going on now for yrs and everyones had enough.

What about all the hard work he has done (Or thnks he has done) in getting himself #1 Mandatory to Trouts title? spent Moneys on twitter carrying on and its now all forgoten? not even a mention or question about the process, where it is upto Etc. This karnt isnt a reporter, he is a voice recording machine. :yep

send a sports writer who Mundine told yrs ago he was fighting in the states, that should do it, or just send him a new one each time that hasnt a clue so the guy dont ask questions mundine wont like. lol i know whats going on mate, they wont bite the hand that feeds them because when they do, mundine denies them interviews and entrance to his shows as he has done to many reporters in AUS.

not going to happen, the WBC means zero. it is flat out up to HBO who JCCjr fights on 4th of Feb and it will not be Mundine. Arum will just say to WBC here is your title and do what you like with it. We have million plus from HBO for the JCCjr fight and 15 000 paying fans in Texas and a top opponent in Rubio or Martirosyan. I think JCCjr would choose million plus pay day over a fight with Mundine. I could be wrong

 

a jcc and mundine fight could be a possibility considering the pressure on jcc to fight sexy sergio something he really doesnt want to do.
