"that" girl has no clue when she rank Froch above Bute and Kessler.Kessler lost to ATG Calzaghe and a questionable fight with Ward were the referee had a major roll.Froch lost to Ward and Kessler,in fact he is what i allways said he is,a -A or B+ fighter since he lost the most important fights of his career.Bute is undefeated and a champ since 2007,he may not fought the best out there but he beated the best available out there,that still count.A fair ranking would be
#1 Ward
#2-3 Bute and Kessler,tho i favor Bute cause he is undefeated
#4 Froch
#5 anyboby but Andre Dirrell.

I have done over 400 total interviewS....I prepared for like 20 of them I just wing it.....as I know boxing....

Now lets go to my rating....

Froch gets the call at number 2 not based on bias, based on fact.

They use to say back in the old days that if a fighter was undefeated, that he had not really fought anyone. Bute more or less falls into this class of fighter. His biggest win to date is over 42 (soon to be 43) year old man. His other 2 biggest wins are against Librado Andrade....a good, but limited fighter that nearly knocked him out in the first fight (canada ref :-( )
Bute is very skilled and could pose a threat to anyone at 168, but skills alone don't give you rank, you have to fight someone.....you need to really be tested.....you HAVE to face the BEST!

Facing the best is a category Carl Froch falls in to. He has faced the best that 168 has to offer and he has had tough fight after tough fight...he beat an undefeated Jean Pascal, before Pascal became light heavyweight champ.....he edged out Andre Dirrell to give him his first loss, before Dirrell gave Arthur Abraham his first loss (a tournament favorite) He lost a close fight to Mikkel Kessler, who was a 2 time champ at 168.....he dominated Abraham to win back the WBC belt....beat Glen Johnson before Bute had his shot at him (Johnson will be having surgery to repair torn ligaments in both elbows) And then to Froch's latest fight...Andre Ward.....an Olympic Gold Medalist, a undefeated Champion, who beat a #1 at the weight. A loss, but again....he was facing the BEST. So when you look at both men, and who they fought, all you have to say is "where would Bute be if he faced who Froch did" Based on what I have seen of him....it would not be undefeated.

As things sit, Froch has more credibility then Bute has, and until Bute steps up and faces someone at the top of there game, he won't be ranked any higher then third on my and many other peoples lists, that feel resumes speak louder then records.

 

What has Bute done to be rated over Kessler? (and you can't mention the fact he's been knocked out and still won a fight)

still,by your logic i fail to see how can you rank Froch over Bute and Bute over Kessler.and based of opposition a figther had Johnson will be p4p #1,so ranking Froch #2 based on that is pure nonsense,as his win over a midget Abraham who has no business at 168.

English....do you speak it Let me try translate.....You just contradicted yourself You just said by my logic Johnson would be p4p#1? And then in the next breath state Abraham was a midget at 168? He was the second biggest favorite getting into this......So it's about weight? hello??? When did Glen Johnson ever have great success at 168lbs? When is the last time he beat the best at any weight? Are you missing the point? Carl Froch has been fighting the best....fight after fight......at the same weight as Bute.....being tested each time out and coming away with a W against most of them.


Kessler has not faced the best in a long time, as it has been over a year and half since since he fought Froch, and won a close decision (earned IMHO) But the fact remains that he did have a injury, and it did keep him out the ring for over a year. You can't, not fight, and get ranked over fighters that are consistantly getting into the ring.

As I said resumes speak louder then records. For Kessler, besides the Ward, and Froch fights he has not been in there with a legit fighter in over 4 years. He's 1-1 against the best. Froch is 5-2 against the best thrown in at him.....he was the underdog in the Taylor and Abraham fights, and he made it to the finals of a 2 year tournament. Call me when Bute's biggest win is not over a 42 year old man with 2 bad elbows.
