In Your Opinion, Which Promoter or Manager is the Least Grimy in Boxing?

****ing dirtbag. Feeding Chavez Jr bum after bum and avoiding anyone with a pulse! Sooner Arum snuffs it, the better.

I'd probably say Lou DiBella seems like a relatively straight-talking guy, as much as we'll find within boxing. ****ing Bob Arum...seriously.

 

They all do that. Even DiBella was slagging off Pirog recently and is not letting Martinez take high risk/low reward fights with top contenders like Pirog while he has the chance to make better money vs the Cotto's and Mayweather's.

As for Arum, putting Pacquiao in a Marquez rematch soon after he signed him, then letting him fight DLH where he was supposed to get killed, and then Hatton, Cotto says you're exxagerating based on a few recent fights. If you look at his other top fighters Pavlik, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Arce, and go through their records and who they fought you can't say they were protected. There are very few fighters he protected, Chavez Jr, obviously most notable because he is average and HBO and the WBC are more than willing to oblige him also wanting to make money off Chavez by exploiting his name.

 

I was trying to say they're all grimey,they've all screwed people over in their job and so on personality only I like Arum, DiBella and Don King best. They're the most interesting.

 

Arum is the most crooked, deceitful, immoral and plain old 'orrible **** in the game. Worse than Don King

 

He seems to have gotten alot worse with age. He wasn't that bad up until Pac became a megastar and the war with GBP. Don't know why the bitter old fart doesn't retire. Same as for Don King. They've got all the money in the world for dozens of their generations to come to live well. Plain old greed

Goosen howcome? not disagreeing with you but i haven't heard too many bad things about him.. be curious to hear them.

I agree DiBella seems to be the best, 1 of the few thats genuinely concerned about the health of his fighters.
Still in the game to make money obviously but he does not seem to blatently exploit his fighters sacrificing their health to squeeze out the last dollar like Arum.

 

Watch any of goosens cards on shobix next generation or Friday night fights. No matter how bad his fighter looks, they win. Heck he even does it in hbo with Williams beating Lara. Seems rather dirty to me
