Then we can talk in two weeks. After he dismantles this tomatocan you cannot seriously install him in the top 5. Appauling.

Let him beat a top 10 guy so we can check if he's back to what his talent might have promised once. Untill then you are reaching.

Froch at no. 2 is terrible as well. I've already made that point. Froch is 0 for 2 in the biggest fights of his career. You cannot rank him above Kessler who beat him despite having double vision and I also think it's wrong to rank him above Bute after such a comprehensive loss to Ward.

Her point, I believe, is that you can't rank someone @ number 2, just because they've gone undefeated against less than top ranked competition.

BS. I can think of plenty of examples where you can do just that.

Our point is that you can't keep someone rank #2 after he lost

If you believe that Dirrell faked a DQ, then you must clearly believe that Lucian Bute got knockout by Librado Andrade in the 12th and held on to his title. Abraham's stock only dropped cause Dirrell drew the blue print to beat him.....everyone else just followed it.....fact remains, when Dirrell beat him, he was the tournament favorite by most. As for activity, he has been as active as Kessler....he has been in training camps for fights for the last 6 months.....politics have kept him out of the ring.....Most of the sparring Dirrell has been getting is a far better test then the farce we saw back in May with Kessler.

It's who the fighter fought, and how they did......Dirrell is top 5 talent, and he has a fight upcoming which in turn means, he is again a active fighter.

Yes, but it's all how the person lost as well. If it's a close competitive fight between two highly ranked individuals in the division, the loser is obviously not going to fall too far in the rankings. As opposed to a shut out or knock out.

Why is that? Are you saying that Mikkel Kessler was not the second best super middleweight in the world when he lost to Joe Calzaghe? Is that what your saying

    Listen, I still believe it's:

    1.Ward
    2.Bute
    3.Froch
    4.Kessler

BUT, I do see how one can put Froch above Bute, comparing recent caliber of opponent.

When Cal and Kessler fought there were alone in the division , nothing to compare with this day SMW. If Froch lost a close UD i could understand but it wasn't the case!

Did you just say that sparring counts as much as fights? Really?

As for AA it was quite known (at least by me as someone who has followed his career) that a fighter with slighly more speed than a statue would give him problems.

Bottom line: Dirrell lost to Froch and won over AA. Since then he has been inactive for nearly 2 years and is scheduled to fight a cabdriver. This makes him your no. 5 in boxings most stacked division.

    I disagree.
