I dont think there is much hate. I think people think its a joke that he is calling out two guys that out two weight class smaller than him. I think most realize he his resume is real lite. And people also realize he is not going to get a fight with Mayweather or Manny so he should move on. There are paydays out there for him he just doesnt want to take them.
Like what? Sergio is already at the top of the middleweight division, going up to fight Ward doesn't bring any starpower or $$$ for him right now.
Stop lying, ur a hater. PrincessN knows that if Floyd takes a Serge fight there is a serious threat his hero may lose his 0... Thus the reason he is so desperately pushing for Serge to go up to SMW. Ward isn't a much bigger draw then Serge himself if he is bigger at all. More casual fans I know actually don't even know who Ward is but do know who Serge is.
There not much "justified" hate when you don't even know the person you are hating... Especially when that person hasn't done anything justifying hate....
But, But, Sergio only beat an alcoholic Pavlik and an overrated Paul Williams....Sergio should be fighting someone like Pirog who is a real threat to him and who has defeated the likes of hmm..wait whats his name....hmm..oh yeah...who did Pirog beat again? :huh Didn't Hagler fight Duran, SRL and Hearns, all of them moving up to Middleweight? Didn't Jake LaMotta, a Middleweight, fight SRR a Welterweight at that time, too? Didn't Mosley move up from two divisions to fight ODLH? Most did it for "legacy" but it was MAINLY for the MONEY even SRR admitted to it thus why he didn't care of he weigh 147 while LaMotta was weighing 160! I am not saying Mayweather and Pac should move up to MW to fight Sergio, but the man is trying to get a fight with the cash cows of boxing. Nothing wrong with that! Now if they don't want to fight him, that is fine, its understandable. But it would of helped if Sergio would of stayed in LMW instead of moving up!
Thats my thing! Why if he claims and his manager claim that Sergio is a 154lbs didn't he stay there? He fought Dzinzurik at 160, might as well should of fought him for his belt at 154lbs. and try to unify there. I am not hating on Sergio, he is my favorite boxer but I just don't seem to understand the concept behind the "he is really a 154lbs".
fighting Bute or Ward bring money especially Bute. Mayweather and Manny again are not fighting this guy especially on his terms. He brings nothing to the table at all.
um he is the middle wieght champ he is not 154lber. Could he make the weight probably. But Mayweather and Manny can make 140 so thats another point that means nothing
Martinez had already lost his belt at 154 because Williams and HBO wanted him to defend the lineal title. He'd also been completely stonewalled when it came to getting fights there for ages before he got the shot to move up against Williams in 2009.
:thumbsup Pretty much how I feel. It would be a great fight for either, and I think they both should be willing to take it if he's willing to fight at 154.. But if they don't take it I won't complain.. When he moved up to MW he gave too much room for excuses for those to not to fight him... When you get to their status they take risk/reward very seriously, him winning at MW gave the WW's/fans an excuse to avoid him.
