Soto isnt - he doesnt have the power like he did 2 weightclasses down, he's not really a threat like he used to be... he's still a tough match-up, but with little reward.

    #1 DONAIRE
    #2 Martinez
    #3 Rigondeaux
    #4 Bute
    #5 Gamboa

You can add Pavlik and Stieglitz to that list alongside with Kessler and Ward. I hope to god Froch fights him even if he doesn't, it ain't meaning his avoiding him but it's a short list consisting of Froch and B-hop that might fight him.

Pac is the biggest ducker in boxing.
Pac ducked Humberto Soto many times.
    Pac ducked Juan Diaz too.

Pac wont fight Floyd, cause Floyd wants to have Pac tested.

Pac is ducking Floyd and the tests.

Humberto Soto scared off many fighters into not fighting him.

    2006
    Pac ducked Soto many times/

    2007
    Pac again ducks Soto.
barrera, Morales, Marquez also duck Soto

    2008
Pac, JMM, MAB, EM continue to duck Soto.
and now Edwin valero ducks Soto too

and to this day, JMM, MAB, Pac, and now Maidana is ducking Soto.

they're all afraid of Soto's left hook the way he left Bobby Pacquiao in agonizing pain, like this vid (first 15 sec.) shows:

I mean, its not like Soto is gonna kill anyone in the ring.
he'll just KO them, and the pain is temporary.

I guess it also depends on your definition.

Lara for example is probably one of the most feared because of his last fight AND (big and) the fact that he dont brings anything to the opponent. So the risk vs reward calculation is in my view the reason why Lara could be avoided.

On the other hand, fighters that are supposed weak and with big rewards (belts and draw) like Bute is suppose to be a bargain in the same calculation. Except if the figthers and the promoters are talking **** and in fact think Bute is a very dangerous opponent. A.k.a. Kessler, risk vs. reward Steiglitz is making more sense than Bute if you think Bute is indeed a dangerous opponent.

the problem here, is that some fans, fighters and promoters all are saying that Bute is a nobody so their decision (Kessler for example) dont make sense.

Soto has won 3 world titles in 3 different weight classes, and 2 of those titles were vacant cause they had belonged to Pac, and Edwin valero, and its funny that Pac vacated his WBC 130lbs belt to avoid defending it against Soto cause Pac is afraid:lol: to fight Soto, so Soto fought Pac's replacement-Gamiel Diaz for Pac's abandoned belt.

then, Soto moved up to 135lbs and became the mandatory to Edwin Valero's WBC 135lbs belt, and valero got scared and vacated that belt to avoid:lol: defending it against Soto.

and now, at 140lbs, Soto is the #1 ranked and mandatory to Marcos Maidana's WBA 140lbs title, but Maidana (just like Pac, and Valero did) is also scared:lol: to defend it against Soto, so Maidana is now moving up to fight feather-firsted and quitter-ALexander, than face his mandatory-Humberto Soto.
