Cotto a ****ing warrior and yeah he won his title against a bum but

stop the almighty Alvarez bs he's fought NO ONE AT ALL !!! but i guess

since he beats shot fighter or tomato can's and wins Meaningless vacant

titles he got to be the next Julio Caesar Chavez, not only do i think he

maybe the most overhyped fighter other then Chavez Lite but i think if

he fights someone with a pulse the Mexican Opie gets ktfo.

Miguel fought Yuri Foreman when nobody else including pac didnt want to. Ohh he is too big, ohh he is to fast, ohh he is gonna box circles around the weak minded shot Cotto. Miguel steps up being semi-small for WW as it is, schools the guy then Foreman was just never good or a bum. He then had shoulder surgery and a decent recovery period and takes on Mayorga. A tune-up fight for Margarito and gets hell from everyone because the guy altho past his best actually shows up in shape, ready to fight and almost goes the distance tho loosing in a lopsided way. Then comes Margarito, what else is there to be said about this guy...ohh here is one, the general consensus here was that margarito would bulldoze right over Miguel and finish him even earlier....what are some people saying now...Ohh, whats so great about beating a one eye Margarito! thats been his record at 154 because those were the biggest fights that could be made at the time and because of his surgery. He is now fully recovered and coming of off his best win since mosley and judah. Im pretty sure his gonna jump into another "BIG" fight next...as he always does.

Looking at the current 154 division, when you say the "best" you really have to set those individuals apart and analyze them. You will quickly find out that the current "best" contenders and belt holders aside from size do not hold a higher skill-set than Miguel and here they are:

    Trout
    Bundrage
    Martirosyan
    Lara
    Rodriguez
    Wolak (Retired)
    Kirkland-more of a MW
    Angulo
    Molina

These are the fights Canelo needs to make as a champion, to start making some real noise and start getting the recognition he deserves. Miguel coming close to the end of his career will more than likely fight one maybe 2 of these guys or maybe none if he gets another shot at pac or even a floyd fight. Its all about the "Big" money fights now for him. Canelo is starting to build his resume and thus needs to fight the "best" at 154 more than Cotto does IMO.Especially when Canelo is at his "natural" weight against this being Miguel's 3rd weight class.

But Doc, its exactly what im saying: its not about Canelo-wich is no doubt exciting to watch-its about promoters, and boxing organizations. It reflects on Canelo because he is the face of that corruption.I take it also with pac and all those catch weight and ****, but pac is fighting a very tough competition-other than floyd, who else is left?.BS decisions like you said: like the one you mentioned including Jr vs Vanda,Jr vs Molina,Jr vs Zbick...

I'm just comparing two titlist...People want the Supposed overrated, pure hype Canelo to fight the best at 154, but the supposed real 154 champ gets a pass and can fight the Foreman's and Mayorga's?

Stop whining Canelo doesn't get any real heat. If you want to see real heat look at Floyd and the Klitschkos.

The principal difference is that Cotto has already proven himself at 140 and 147 lbs, while Canelo hasn't proven anything significant at any weight. If you just factor his age, his record looks impressive, but unfortunately since he has been handled into an undeserved belt, as a world champion his resume is lacking. He's also been carefully managed in terms of fighting punchers(similar to Chavez Jr) and the one fight of late where he faced someone with some real grit and boxing ability(against the undersized Alfonso Gomez) he looked bad for six rounds and was arguably losing until scoring a fishy stoppage that screamed, "we've got to protect the money, stop this fight at the earliest possible chance if Alvarez looks like he's having any trouble." If the belt wasn't involved, the hate wouldn't be as strong imo.

As to Cotto's 154 lb resume, as you say it's not great, but since he's proven himself before he gets a mini-pass. Foreman had the belt and was effectively Cotto's light touch comeback fight after the Pacquiao fight and Margarito was a revenge high profile match. Mayorga was the only fight that can't really be justified in there. But we know with his history that Cotto will step up, and probably in his next fight. Alvarez doesn't inspire the same confidence.

when a 5'3" 110-pound man is ****ing your girlfriend you dont sucker-punch him.

it just makes you look more of a chump than you actually are.

archie is about the size of an 11-year-old boy.

This is bad, really bad. Cotto fights guys rated in his own division while Canelo fights guys who are barely rated a division or two below.

140 pound Cotto vs. 140 pound Bailey is far more of a legitimate fight than Canelo vs. Lopez or Mosley.

please, dont compare canelo to chavez jr. its a disservice to julio. what an embarassment canelo is. all smiling after he ko's a 140-pounder and holding up some ****ing cardboard check when a real champion wouldve been embarassed to have even been part of the debacle.

canelo is a bully(abusador) and is going to get handed once lara, molina, vanes, quillan, steps into his guard and punches him in his face hard.

    josesito/canelo was beyond reason.
