After the 9th round which many of you say cotto won. You could see both fighters body language.

Antonio went to the corner and for the first time was excited and told his corner Basically that "i just broke him" i just broke him!!! he was excited as hell.

Cotto on the other hand looked confused and tired and was hoping the fight would be stopped he had a different look as in the previous 8 rounds.

Who the **** gives a **** if cotto was winning the fight, The fight was about to turn and if you don't want to see this your just a plain hater or a nuthugger who is not a man first but a fanboy.

Tony was getting whooped in this fight in the same fashion and could not land as much as he did in the first fight because cottos strategy was different this time. But when he went to cottos body he did hurt cotto. You don't run away from someone that is not hurting you people. Had Margaritos punches had nothing on them cotto would realize this and walk down margarito!!!

So your point is what Buddy. That damage was caused by Pac. This right here is clear evidence that if cotto can't take out a Margarito with 1 eye what the **** was he going to do with a healthy pre pac margarito??? Nada.!!!

I think people need to go rewatch round 9 of their first fight again, then realise the second fight isnt as similar to the first as some people want to make out.

Ok... Margarito doesnt get stopped, they continue fighting, he wins the next three rounds, and he goes on to lose a UD... so what?

cotto won the 9th, and it was glaringly obvious he still had plenty of life left, unlike the first fight where he looked like a dead man walking in the 8th and 9th.

So him winning the 9th, leaves a whole 3 rounds for Margarito to do anything of note to win the fight.... and winning the fight means he would have to have stopped Cotto, which wasnt happening imo.

People are trying to draw way too many parralells to their first fight. Cotto might have been on the verge of starting to lose rounds, but he in no way had been broken down enough at the start of the 10th, for him to have gotten stopped within the next 9 minutes of fighting.

People thinking they were gonna see the same ending as the first fight need to go rewatch the 8th and 9th rounds of the first one again, then see the contrast to that to the same rounds of their second one.

Cotto was on his way to a decision victory, regardless of the doctor.

I disagree with the stoppage, because they robbed cotto of the proper win he was more then likely going to have. And yes, they robbed Margarito of the small chance he had at stopping cotto in the next 9 minutes.

people say Margarito was finished is bullcrap, Margarito is a full 15 round fighter. People think the fight would have looked like this in the last 3 rounds

They need to lay off the crack.

Margarito would have busted up Cotto's face a little more IMO, but still lose a UD, Cotto had enough left in the tank. Dont think Margarito had that one punch KO power, he usually wore his opposition down and Cotto never looked hurt but Cotto always looks tired in the final quater regardless.

OK. So Marquez must of been getting pretty roughed up by Pac because he was moving back the entire fight. Right? Ever heard of hit and don't get hit? Ya think that maybe he was doing his best to avoid damage as part of his defensive strategy? Cotto was doing an excellent job of targeting that eye and landing a very high percentage.

Take your loss like a man and keep it moving,Cotto was softened up by Pac if you wanna use Pac as an excuse for Marg's fight now.

This was meant for the Nancy crying about Margarito losing..

Marquez and Cotto fought different fights but fought the best gameplans for their opponent.

Marquez had to keep it at range, because at mid range or inside Pacquiao had a far better chance.

Cotto just had to keep out of mid range, in the begining he was going on the inside but towards the end of the fight kept it at range because he was tired and Margarito has the workrate to make most tire.

Margarito has ATG chin and ATG heart, these two components give him the upperhand in the last quater of the fight, but he didnt land enough in the fist 3 quaters to take full advantage of these attributes. Also Margarito never had one punch KO power, he always wore his opponents down with his workrate/stamina/heart/chin. Cotto would have won the UD, but not as comfortably as most think IMO Margarito would have finished stronger regardless of the eye injury.

You see what you want to see.

  15. BS... Margarito's EGO was DONE... he was pissed as he walked to his corner making corny dramatic motions with his hands... He was DONE. WEAK and getting his head snapped back in his "best round" Save the groupie BS for chicks son. Margarito was on his way to being TKO'd in the next 2 rounds. Little kids get excited when a journeyman like Margarito acts tough in the ring while getting punched in the face and scoring NO points... or landing any REAL shots.
