Thing is though, he did the crime, he's gotta do the time.

And after Floyd beats this tune ups, Manny needs a tune, tune up fight and he fights Floyds left over tune ups?:huh Its like ever one is a tune up in the last few years for Floyd and Manny.

    I think so.

To jump into a May 5 date with Pac after serving time in Jail is a bit much.

I believe Floyd will keep the date, and fight a Mexican fighter in a tune up. Say a Guerrero or Morales or someone of that ilk.

He'll get flamed for it, and I suppose rightfully so. But you can't really blame him (well you can, cause as someone said above, he did the crime, he gotta do the time).

But I think it's been pretty much clear to most that Arum was never letting Pac fight Floyd on May 5 anyway, even before all the jail time issue arose.

Well since we know Manny is going to fight around that time and not wait for Floyd to get out yes. But then Manny will have another excuse after that

WTF, he's only taken one tune-up since he came out of retirement. And that was a fight against one of the best fighters of this era. But if you don't want to give him the benefit of the doubt then I guess two can play that game. We'll just assume his arch rival Pacquiao will find another 38+ yr-old fighter to pick on.

Doubt it. Though nothing is impossible of course. He would serve for 3 months only, not 3 years so I doubt a a tune-up would be necessary. I'm sure he knows that when he returns to the ring it has to be against a big name that guarantees big money.

He's suposed to start serving Jan 6th. If he serves the whole 3 months that puts Mayweather out on April 6th giving him one month to prepare. f the May 5th date is still on. It will likely not be against the best possible.

  11. :huh Why?

He'll serve a few weeks, sitting on his ass, or working out exercising.

He's not gonna be in a chain gang breaking rocks 12 hours a day.

He'll be out by February, which gives him 9 weeks to prepare for a fight.

Yeah, except his "tune-ups" are always against unanimous P4P-ers (JMM) or the #3 guy in his division (Ortiz).

He doesn't fight tune-ups. The only guys you could come up with would be: Augustus, Sosa, Bruseles, and Mitchell. Not that big of a deal. No different than anyone else.

But yeah, in all honesty I view him fighting in June/July vs. the winner of Alexander/Maidana...

I don't think he will need to,his last 3 fights have been off long layoffs and he is only getting better. To say Ortiz was a tune up or Mosley is a stretch considering both came off impressive wins in their prior fights.
