He blew his own career and any shot at securing a legacy with his bull****. He did it to himself. Shame because he had a lot of talent, more so early on in his 122 days.
His own promoter had enough of unprofessionalism and kicked him out, and they still could have made money with him. Not hard to see how fans could be fed up with him. When he had his chance to make it big in a LW division which was soon to be stacked, the guy weighed-in 9lbs over the limit for a title fight and this after he failed to make weight in his biggest fight for the unified belts causing it to be cancelled. Then failed to make weight moving up to JWW and also a drugs test. Guy is just a dissapointment. He is 35 and done very little to do justice to his talent. He is pretty much finished
Guzman's an unprofessional waste of time. Everybody was fed up with his ****-ups, and at this point, he's not even close to being what he used to be. A complete waste of talent whose best win was Humberto ****ing Soto.
Soto's a good fighter for sure, but I felt as though Guzman was capable of much more than what he showed. Fights with Pacquiao and the Mexican Big 3 would've been interesting at 122-130.
I don't think Pacquiao's handlers wanted much to do with him. Win or lose, Pacquiao would've looked bad against Guzman. That's a tricky style to fight.
