Now answer this one: Who gave Ward and Bute the toughest 12 rounds of their careers? Who beat Bika? Same guys that beat Kessler with much more ease.
Bika is very awkward fighter, but who has he beat??? Top 3 is just CRAZY.... I think Bute - Andrade 1 was Butes toughest fight so far (Andrade a fighter Kessler beat with much more ease, if you like that kind of logic) Make a poll and see how many people share your opinion on Bika as the third best smw...
Bika beat no one to deserve to be top 5 best resumee SMW. Barely top 10. I once again repeat: I am talking about skills. I just look at a fights and see that Bika has an awkward style with which he can not be dominated the way other more acomplished fighters are. Andrade gave Bute 1 toughest round of his career. 1 lousy round. He didn't win convincigly any other round in 16 rounds against Bute except 1. Andrade was Bute's toughest test; not his toughest all-around fight. I don't need to make a poll here. I am sure that some of the voters haven't even heard of him before his fight with Ward. Also, many haven't watched Bika's fights. I've wathced 14 of his pro fights and 1 amateur bout. As I did wathched other top SMW fights. I say he is very underrated in terms of skills. In my top he is 3rd skillwise. I swear I would beat a considerable amount of real money on him if he will fight Froch and Kessler and he is the underdog.
He is definitely underrated, but I don't believe he can beat Froch or Kessler unless he gets them out of there and I don't believe he can do that. Bika is better then Froch and Kessler on the inside (often fights very dirty), but he would be outboxed on the outside. I think Bika - Froch would be a war, but I find it difficult to see how he could beat Kessler.
After a stint as Kessler's sparringpartner he said that the dane was in a league of his own. LMAO at those rating Bika in the top 5. Not possible even if you use a (******ed) ranking system of fantasy h2h matchups and not the proper one with resumés. I know BoxingGirl also considers sparring for all fighters as a parameter, but nobody else than her can compile all that info. Here's my rankings: 1: Ward 2: Bute 3: Kessler 4: Froch 5: Stieglitz
For archive purposes, 12/22: The Ring's top ten at 168: C. Ward 1. Bute 2. Kessler 3. Froch 4. Stieglitz 5. Bika 6. Oosthuizen 7. Groves 8. Johnson 9. Abraham 10. DeGale Boxrec's top ten at 168: 1. :rofl I swear I had no idea about Ring's top. I don't even click that site. And even there I think he is a little underrated.
So their top is almost ******ed? C'mon, you know it's easy to make a case between "Sven" Stiegltiz and Bika with Sakio being better. His losses are nothing to be ashamed of. Not that his wins are great (Stieglitz has better wins). Stiegltiz lost by KO in round 3. Bika would never lose that way and he looked better than most in his losses. He gave a hell of a fight to Ward, Bute and Cal. He looked tougher than Froch and Kessler against Ward. People here rate only wins and losses. I do rate the way those were reached. Guys from Ring Magazine probably do the same because otherwise it is hard to rate Bika, as I said. I just took it a little further. I say he can beat Froch and Kessler. I'm not gonna bet a house on this but if the odds are seriously against him I would bet a considerable amount. The first thing I try to emphasize here is that Bika is grossly underrated.
I think it's crazy to rate him above 6. You might think he'll win some fantasy fights and on the base of that elevate him into the top 5. That's all fine and dandy. Personally I don't base my rankings on fantasyfights.
Skillwise = I think he'll win some fantasy fights Glad we cleared things up. Anyway, after Kessler beats the s out of Stieglitz you'll remeber Bika.
