Boxing pundits here bang on about how in the likes of Germany as the away fighter you have to knock an opponent out to get a draw but come on were certainly not as fair as the tv pundits especially make out! The worst by far here this year was Sai v Cox an absolute disgrace if a british fighter had been imo cheated as Sai was they would still be harking back to it but it seems when it falls the domestic or 'house' fighters way it's soon forgotten. Decisions like that have the hardcore fan shaking their heads but were just that what about the fighter whose career suffers because of it?
The Sun will not release a story on one of their own columnists, lok at Jeremy Clarkson how they defended him recently over comments he made. They defend their own.

Dave Parris is the most consistent 'ropey card' going in boxing. His cards really are something of a magic trick. You think you know what's going on but abrakadabra alakazam boom 118-110 in the house fighters favour. Leaves you shaking your head in sheer amazement. Not in a good way either. Here he is in fine form robbing a living legend. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO9AIQZrufU[/ame] Bunce, why do you still ignore this as a topic?
Have to say that I rarely criticise officials - we're all human and all that - but Khan v Barrera seemed so, so blatant.
Whilst I am here I will also give my piece about Robert Smith. As the main man on BBBoC I feel he does not do enough in terms of saying no to one-sided matchups. Like Cook came back from a ko loss to Martinez, he then beat a journeyman and get's a shot against Burns because he was 'WBO rated' :-( Rumours were he was gonna take a dive cos of a bad back injury. Rumours were so rife many bookies stopped giving odd's for round betting. Cook then went down in the 1st round sighting a back injury. I mean how the **** is that a defense? Buckland and Sykes were about and in good form around the time but Cook (a guy who had come off a 2 year layoff before his tune up fight against a journeyman) gets the fight. The board should of said they didn't like the fight and pushed for the likes of Buckland to be the opponent. Criminal.
Yeah I totally agree, these guys are ruling in a fight with fans screaming for their man and every punch he throws, even ones that miss. It is a difficult thing to do but still I imagine you should shut off and just look out for what happening and rule accordingly. Judges should even think about wearing earplugs to not be so overawed by the home fans. That is my solution with that. But back on to Parris, yeah I am sure it was cooking on his part. The cut was no worse when stopped than when he was initially cut. First 4 rounds had passed and then Parris looked to pull him out in the 5th. What should of been a NC is now known as a KO. How can that be? you are basically helping to tarnish a fighters record unfairly and are being detrimental to their earning potential. As said already, it is no wonder that fighters are scared/apprehensive to fight on another promoters card.
I completely agree. I was looking for a recent example but yes Bobby Gunn was a savagely beaten opponent against Enzo. He wasn't a name or had come off big wins to get the fight against Enzo. He was a gimme and the fight was passed. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy9VRITQet8[/ame] Terrible fight, the fact it was a 'defense' of a world title is just, well a complete ****ing joke. World title sanctioning bodies need to sort this out. They are the ones who allow promoters to get away with this almost fraudulent business ethic. This is what really kills boxing, the casuals must switch off in their droves when they see this stuff going on.
