I think he'd beat Brodie and Mccollough pretty handily. Harrison would've been tougher for him. Scott had mauling down to a tee and also had physicality on him. That would've been a great fight.

Funny thing is, I used to feel the same way when I started posting here back in 2004, being a boxing fan the years fly in, trust me:deal

    Cheers Slip :good.

One thing that is far different to nowadays is the quality of foreign foes as well when you look at guys we had come over and fight even for baubles the quality was there. Affif Djelti, Simon Ramoni who i believe was robbed by Brodie. Winky Wright even came over for 3 fights which was lovely to see as he brushed aside our boys with ease.

I think my issue was not having Sky in the 1990's. I turn 24 on Friday so I'm not THAT young, I just missed the early days of Sky Sports

Spot on, mate. That's another reason the 90's is so underrated. There was something a little more authentic about what was being imported.

wallet, if I can still love Eubank to this day, you can still like Scotty:deal

boxing forums are a double edged sword if you ask me, its great to talk to your fellow fan, but having to talk to the poisonous characters eventually poisons your own opinions... negativity spreads like a virus on ESB.

    but thats for another debate:good

I used to be a big fan of Alex Arthur, he was world class in his prime IMO.

TBH for all the stick he gets your right the kid was very good, worked well to head and body. He beat some good fighters and ran European scene with ease a lot of people forget that. The Gomez fight done him sadly even though he bounced back well i think it took his edge and he had this terrible lack of concentration during a fight.

there have been some belting fighters mentioned, tony sibson for instance was a hell of a fighter with charisma to match.i remember his big wins over sibson, davison and john collins.i can remember his early pro fights with eddie smith then later with tough kevin finnegan and gratien tonna too.
one of my other favourites from later on was scrap iron ryan who was never in a dull fight win or lose.

Liked Paul 'Hoko' Hodkinson - he was a decent little fighter with an exciting style and a good left hook and was like a poor man's Barry McGuigan. He used to have an annoying habit of pulling up his shorts all the time.

Used to be on the telly quite a lot too but got beaten by a Mexican called Vargas who looked a bit special at the time for his FW title but don't think he went on to do much.
