    Joe calzaghe as an amateur competed on european level. your lack of knowledge demonstrates why people like you shouldnt bother commenting on things you do not know.
    stick to playing with yourself at least when you make a mess you can clean it up yourself.....:tired

    Define serious....the european amateur championships at junior level are both serious and meaningful.
    boxers who want to be considered for world or olympic selection or gain experience of different styles would go through these routes. to be classed as a winner at the amateur championships(junior) is an achievment to those who win

    The overall system for amateur boxing with regards to organization secection/participation has changed due to the introduction of federations/commitees post 2000. with a host country bidding for the right to host.

    there are many well known pro boxers who took part in these competitions but did not win and do not list it.
