i think is will be a good match up because it a dangerous fight for canelo

canelo's defense was Horrible against Alfonso gomez he was lucky that he had the power to end it

we all know that shane can punch and it wouldnt be hard to find canelo
if shane comes prepared for a war it will be one hell of a fight

Not sure about this one guys...Sugar Shane is not even a shell anymore. I think Iggy Pop would be more competitve at this stage of the careers.

if canelo takes this fite he should get his belt taken away. u dont defend ur belt 2 a guy coming of loses . and a guy who only had one fight at 154 to an opponent who wasnt ranked very high in sergio mora. shane better just retire. this fight isnt official is it??

i dnt kno how sum boxing fans are okay with this . canelo v cotto is the fite that needs to happen but if hes looking to fight shane then i kno that cotto isnt the kind of fite there looking for . there still tryin to develop a champ thats y this fight shouldnt happen becuz he a belt holder defending it agaisnt non worthy opponents.

shane used to be a good match up . now hes not a good match up for ne one i just want him 2 retire

ya it would be a decent fight.... I would have rather him fight Kirkland or Chavez Jr but taking on the aging champ mosley is not a bad move, and would still be a good step up. Canelo is not the type of fighter that troubles Mosley, and it would be a decent test for the 21 year old canelo.... regardless of mosleys lack of momentum at the moment.

idc about wut mosley once done . as of right now he cant beat sergio mora so i would rather not see him fight the 2nd best jr middle weight .

    Thats boxing.

If mosley is going to keep fighting, hes going to have to face the young upcoming fighters like every other aging champ has done.

Its just a part of boxing where the young champs take on the old guard, and either the old guard adds one more great chapter to their legacy or the young champs start building their own.

As past it as mosley is, his losses have been to the best. If he loses badly to canelo, then I would say its time for him to start either fighting guys on a lower level, or retire. As of now he lost against mayweather and pac.... and got a draw against mora in a fight most boxing fans knew was going to be hard for him to look good in and was going to be a stinker.

Canelo is not mora, regardless of if hes better then him or not. Mora was always going to be the wrong fighter for Mosley to fight at that time.

Like it or not the fight makes sense right now, it gives mosley his last shot at adding a meaningful chapter to his legacy, and it gives canelo his first shot at a big name in a winnable fight. Add to that its a step up (regardless of mosleys decline) from m.hatton, gomez, and cintron, and that canelo plays right into mosleys hands in terms of what mosley likes to see in the ring, and its really not as bad a fight as is being made out.

This fight will set up bigger things (hopefully Kirkland) for Canelo and will send Mosley off to retirement or farewell type fights.

Kirkland is way too dangerous for Saul right now.

Shane could take Canelo, but the fight would be fixed for Shane to lose. That's his ticket to a payday nowadays. Certainly against a golden boy like Canelo.

Absolutely agree. Canelo presents nothing that SSM hasn't seen in abundance. Remember that Mosley grew up fighting guys like Canelo in Cali. If this fight happens, don't be shocked if Mosley turns back the clock.

Perhaps, but imo thats the nature of the beast. If Kirkland is too much for him then maybe its not time for Canelo to be playing with the big dogs, in which case he needs/should give up his title.

A champion should be prepared to face anyone in his division.... I realise that isnt always the case in boxing but thats the way I see it.

So Kirkland being too much for Canelo might keep that fight from happening, but its still the fight I want to see. And its also about Kirkland deserving the chance to get at Canelo and a big fight after traveling to mexico and offing Angulo in his backyard.

Actually, truth is theres so many good fights out there for canelo if hes holding the title.

    Canelo vs Williams
    Canelo vs Lara
    Canelo vs Cotto
    Canelo vs Margarito
    Canelo vs Kirkland
    Canelo vs Angulo

all are fights id love to see.... the only fights I think its ok to excuse Canelo from right now is with Pac, Mayweather, and Martinez.

    just imo though :good

nothing would satisfy Shane more at this time than taking out GBP's future moneymaker.

Shane would be motivated if this happens.
