Yea, his a light heavyweight fighting at heavyweight. He just doesn't have that raw power for heavyweight, but then again you don't need power to be a good boxer. You just need to be a better boxer to win.
He is at heavyweight. At cruiser he was solid. I wish he had stayed there, guess he wants money though. I didn't like seeing Vitali beat the **** out of him to be honest, he looked frightened in there compared to usual. Great fighter to watch at cruiser though!
I am not asking this question to attack Adamek, I really like this guy. I just found it kinda weird how weak he is at heavy, like he gained 20 pounds but added no power whatsoever.
A lot of people keep saying Adamek should be at CW, but what's the point? He proved he was the best CW at that time, he had nothing to prove there. I'd rather be a fan of a guy trying to be the best can be, then be a fish in a small pound.
joe fraizer was really weak..still was a great boxer tho...id say adamak would prob be the weakest tho yes
Adamek has as many HW KO's as James Toney. Adamek is not weak by any stretch of the imagination but he is not a hard hitter. It's all about how he throws the punches. He has a decent right hand honestly. He put Golota and Maddalone on the floor.
Possibly, but whats more important is how hung he is. I've heard that he has quite the trowser snake...
Id say he is mainly due to the fact that he is a former 175 pounder and is way too small for heavyweight, considering hes so small hes done fantastic in a klitshcko dominated era
You are right about this. Adamek doesn't throw his punches from his whole body. He does it only from his shoulders/arms. If he put more of his weight behind his shots then they would probably be stronger, but then he would loose his hand speed. Honestly Tomasz doesn't have that good hand speed or dynamics so he has to throw those punches the way he does in order to compensate his speed. He looks so fast in HW only because rest of the guys there are fat and slow. He is probably one of few heavies that really dedicates themselves to the training nowadays. That's what gives him the advantage in the ring:thumbsup
