    WRONG.

Olivares and Sanchez are more important names than the three amigos.

He didnt "take the crown from him like he should have" because of Arum's judges.

JMM doesn't have anything close to the physical talent that Pacquiao has, i.e. speed. Yet, (In my opinion) he beat him twice, using his mind. Superior ring IQ, superior timing, superior footwork, counter punching brilliance. I'd call that his extra special element. Should physical talent be favoured over technical brilliance and ring IQ? Deserved the nod at least once.

Which is a reason i think JMM will always be the more skilled fighter....He doesnt have the speed and power and athletic gifts of a Pacquiao, but the intelligence, the technique, and timing to neutraliize all those athletic attributes. :good

Well yeah, there's no doubt he's more skilled. Some Pacquiao fans seem to think though that if you're not rushing forward throwing punches like a lunatic, you're not a proper fighter. :patsch It's BOXING, not a street fight.

I've seen many Pacquiao fans equate counter punching with 'RUNNING', over the last few weeks. I mean, if your boxing knowledge is that limited, you really shouldn't be posting here at all.

Didnt one judge score the first fight to Pacquiao 115-110? :rofl :patsch

Thats even worse than the error of the other judge.

He will be remembered as the man who gave PACMAN three close fights but can never beat him. The closest he got was the gift from one of the judges who KNOWINGLY made a mistake in scoring and made the first fight a DRAW. That's why PACMAN has MARQUEZ' number. :hat

If enough people score the fights themselves, they'll remember him as Pacquiao's in-ring superior at least one time out, and most likely the most recent one. He's done enough aside from just Pacquiao to get that consideration from fight fans. People will never forget he's the stain on Pacquiao's legacy of dominance.

I certainly wouldn't put him in the "just missed greatness" category, I had him down as a great fighter before the last Pacquiao fight

Great fighter who was in some great fights, also saw his degree of getting shafted

his legacy will live in 2 shadows

1 of Pac who could never get the W over in some great fights he was considered Pac's poison

2 the other 2 Mexican greats Barrera and Morales, though he beat Barrera he probably wont surpass them

What in the world gives you that idea? I mean when was he ever even close last time out?

If anything JMM showed he has solved the Pac puzzle and another fight would end up looking exactly alike. Probably a little more one sided in JMMs favor.

He's my favorite fighter out of the Spanish Three. JMM, MAB, and Morales.

Out of the three he's the best technically, probably the best combination puncher (maybe MAB was better), and has the best uppercut for sure.

Watching JMM fight is like looking at a work of art. The intricacy of his art is amazing. Marquez is one of those guys that you can SEE what he practices in training, in the ring. Every movement of his body has a purpose behind it.

If he retires tomorrow, he'll go down in history as one of the mexican greats, a legendary counterpuncher who, if there was justice in this world, would have lost only once, against Mayweather

Because all the other times he got screwed on the cards, specially against Chris John, and in his last match against certain pinoy
