It shouldn't be. There is still so much to speak about. Bunce STILL HASN'T answered my question about Parris and why he hasn't covered the topic on his supposedly unbiased BBC show. Criminal considering he is a fan of the sport we love. I suppose he condones with Barrera's stoppage?
So when is this all going to come out in the media? Like somebody above said, the Sun are perhaps unlikely to comment but somebody must know the ins and outs of this and make it known?
Let's face it. The nationals aren't interested in this kind of story as boxing isn't high profile enough and without some solid comment from the fighters and the board it would be impossible to get past a sports editor (especially at the moment when papers are treading carefully because of recent trials and enquiries). The websites won't run it because (even though they would be correct) they don't have the money to fund the legal costs in proving it.
This what I feared with Box Nation. The first few months were great because it was vital that the channel get off to a good start but I had no faith that this would last. It's a real shame too. I can't fault the fighters for not fighting if they aren't going to get paid but it's a shame for the fans who can't get a refund on their payment. How many of those who have subscribed would take their £60 back if it was offered? If they sort themselves out, I'll happily subscribe. I can't see that happening though, sadly.
susprisingly this post seems to have been totally ignored. as mr bunce has had the courtesy to respond positively perhaps we could respond by giving him the top 10 list i'll start with the obvious one - derek chisora v audrey serious 1 - quigg v frampton ps can someone send him that stuff on dodgy british referees, so at least he can't claim he never got anything?
Just generally, not saying that non payment was the reason, just that this is probably what Jack was referring to. I know there are always pull outs and altered opponents on any given boxing show.
Maybe all these boxers who have not been paid can do a redention of 'Do they know its Christmas' to raise funds
