Not only is 'spastic' an archaic word (which is why it retains some degree of humour IMO, it doesn't have the same connotations as to what it used to) I was in fact insinuating that the poster was the more '******ed' out of the two and wasn't makig 'fun out of' those afflicted with a disability, although I can see how it may be construed in that way. As I've said many times before, someone very close to me was born with cerebal palsy, is wheelchair bound and completely unable to communicate with anyone. I try to go with not calling anything out of bounds for humour, as someone will be offended whatever the joke so if that were the case we'd never make any gags. I can understand your anger at it though, I honestly did contemplate the fact I might receive some flak for it. Hopefully it won't completely blemish your opinion of me, regardless of how high or low that opinion may already be :good That 'Chad Dawson' is a ****ing mong though :deal
Fair play dude, bit of class there. Everyone uses "dickhead" words as I call them, now and again just that certain words irritate/offend some people more than others. You know, I've had a couple of beers so maybe I'm overreacting but to me 'spastic' just really gets under my skin but when say Ricky Gervais uses "mong" I find it funny (given his sense of humour and all that). Btw you've got an A-level in English haven't you...?
I have Sir, yes. No excuse for reverting to such base terms I guess? :good And I've been using Mong way before Gervais :yep
'archaic' and 'connotations' gave it away. And yes you have but even you (as POTY) has to admit; not as funny :-(
I knew those words way before college ;-) I was a linguistic prodigy like those six year old Indian kids are with maths :deal Years of skunk smoking has reduced me to a ****** though I'm afraid And I ain't POTY yet!!!:yikes And as a massive fan of Gervais, would never claim to be funnier than him :good
McClellan ws very special. He'd have beaten Collins, Eubank, Watson and Benn had he been properly trained. Even as things were he'd have beaten Benn 9 times from 10 IMO, Benn just had his "Buster Douglas" performance.
I have never been a Collins fan, but please (with hindsight, as I picked McClellan KO1 Benn), the evidence shows, any class operator who can survive the first three rounds with McClellan; still in reasonable shape, is beating the G-Man... Collins had his limitations, but his chin and heart was never in doubt, and he would of been cute enough to survive the initial onslaught too win by late TKO or points.
I think what collins lacked in skill and technical abillity he more than made up for in hunger and desire ,in my opinion this is what gave benn the edge in his fight with the g man.
