I'm calling bull**** on WHEN this injury happened and whether or not he's really even injured. Unless his doctor is completely incompetent of course. If he really did have multiple fractures to his 3rd and 5th metacarpals, any sound doctor would make sure the phalanges of the corresponding metacarpals would be IMMOBILIZED!!!! And they are NOT!!! Two weeks in a hard cast to heal broken bones??? I don't think so. Unless he is having corrective surgery, there is no way he would only be in that cast for two weeks!!
Who gives a ****. It's broken, that's all that really matters. You try fighting with any type of hand injury
Fractured or broken...fractured bones are painful but can heal a lot faster. 2 weeks sound about right for a fracture or hair line fracture.
I'm think I'm missing something here. :think Why would Andre Ward need to lie about this injury? He didn't lose, so he's not using it as an excuse. He's not using it as an excuse for a bad performance because he completely dominated Froch in every department. His performance was flawless. So why would he lie about when his hand was broken?
Not quite sure that's right.. A) The fight had already been postponed because of his cut. If probably knew if he postponed it again, Froch and his fans would be up in arms, proclaiming him a coward and saying he was looking for a way out of the fight etc. B) Knowing his own talents as he does, he probably knew he'd be able to beat Froch anyway, regardless of the hand issue.
Maybe he injured it later than he said to make himself sound better, he was 'struggling' in the later rounds maybe he did it then, who knows it doesn't really matter.
Because there's no way he'd go into a fight of this magnitude with multiple hand fractures, that's why.
LOL So you think a cut is more serious than multiple hand fractures? :nut If he would postpone a fight for a cut, you better well guarantee they would've postponed the fight had he hurt his hand before the fight.
I didn't say a cut was more serious. I said he probably just took the decision to get through the fight, bad hand and all, rather than have Froch and his fans calling him a coward and saying he was looking for a way out of the fight. And you didn't answer my other question. What does he gain by lying about a hand injury? What does that do for him?
