If Bute was an american fighter would he be more respected & an even bigger star?

Yes, I believe he would be even more respected even with exactly the same resume (expect the places the fights were fought), funny but being an American topsportsman normally does make you a "bigger" man even if you fight the same garbage.

he'd have silenced the haters cause he'd be included in S6 and would have gotten to mix it up with top guys instead of being frozen out of important fights for 2 and a half years. Ward has a very good chance of beating him, but other than that stylistically there's no one else in the division that presents much of a threat.

He would probably be a mega star on HBO cause the guy is exciting wether you like him or not, and he's white......one of the onmly good, exciting white fighters out there

Agree with the 1st part, 100% true, but don't think it's fair to say the 2nd part. Bute was kind of handcuffed by the S6 tourney.

 

If he was American, he would have been invited in the S6 and may right now be the winner of it when it's all said and done. Of course, the difference would be huge...

4 years he's been a title holder and he's only fought Johnson in that time, if he was American he would of been crucified, then again if he was American he wouldn't of been allowed to do what he's done.
