I'm gonna go for Bradley if this is made, obviously he's up against it but i think he can do it. It's about footwork and positioning against Pacquiao and Bradley has good ring IQ. He has ability to adapt and is vastly underrated to many on here. He's a damn site better then the Shane Mosley that fought Pac. So i wouldn't moan at this fight being made.
Probably just my perception, but, Bradley seems to have gone up a couple of notches in lots of peoples minds since Khan lost.
I think you're right. But I also think it's one of those things where it's probably just the people that always rated Bradley as better anyway (like myself), just now it gives them/me more of a chance to come out with that view. I can't compare Bradley anywhere near to Pacquiao yet though, Manny would probably blitz him.
Apart from his lack of physicality. Bradley has all the tools to beat Pacquiao. Plus he has a Holyfield-esque will, which means you have to kill him to win. I would love to see this fight.
I said previously that I give Bradley a good shout against Floyd and Pac'. Floyds faster feet, hands and sharper punching (as well as equal-to-superior strength, and Timmy is strong) giving him the advantage, with Pacs power and workrate giving him the edge, but I couldeasily see Bradley doing enough with his all-round game on the edge and on the inside to give him the edge over Pacman. Things Bradley brings to the fight: -Top-notch chin and powers of recovery -Good timing with the right hand counter -Mid-range generalship and foot positioning -Good inside game -Adaptability A true 50-50 fight without a doubt. Would be a solid win for either man and it would probably do them both good to have it at Welter, although the no.1 140lber Vs a natural Welter and Ring Light Welterweight champ'? It would probably be more relevant as a ten stone matchup.
Good fight if its made but Bradley doesnt have enough fans to make it viable I've been a fan of Timmy for a while, he'd be a very live underdog in this.
Nice to see i'm not alone in my thoughts, for me the Pacquiao that was bashing up Cotto and co had a lot of helping factors he was fighting damaged goods, guys who fought with wrong gameplan, yes Pacquiao has been brilliant but i also feel he's been slighty overratted in this period. For me Manny struggles to gauge range when the fight's not in front of him, the fact he's lost his rawness actually has lessened his savageness. He's a bit more thoughtful maybe to thoughtful and i think this is sorta fight where a guy like Bradley who's mentally strong, always has gameplan A,B and C can shock the world. Bradley's already got a gameplan for Pacquiao and it revolves around timing, footwork and positioning. Bradley's ready for this sorta fight, were not talking about Ortiz who someone mentally weak.
Funny how things can change so much in the space of one fight. I remember I made a thread about Bradley signing for TR a while ago, seemed to be that most people thought he'd be battered by Manny without too much difficulty. Glad to see he's actually being given a chance now, he'd been ridiculously underrated - bizarrely - off the back of what Khan had done.
Timbo makes some good points there. It all comes back to those comments by Beristain for me about how the more refined Manny is, the easier he is to beat.
