Who would win a British title fight between Tony Bellew and Leon Williams at Cruiser if Williams gets past conquest this is one fight id love to see happen and would be a good first test for tony at the new weight
No.... not that I can think of. Norton was crap and he won nearly every round against Williams..... in the eyes of nearly everyone apart from the judges. In a stronger division he'd be a goodish journeyman/eight round level fighter at best. I'd fancy Groves, DeGale and Anderson to beat him too.
British Cruiserweight scene is a Joke atm We need Bellew to clean house lol I feel he will be better fighter and stronger at the weight his legs gassed out on him againts Clev which i believe was due to the weight draining he does to boil down to 12stone 7lbs i reckon he walks around at least 14stone 2lbs.
Sorry Leon's a SW Londoner and i wish boy best but Tony would stop him within 3 rounds. I'm sorry to say this cos it's not nice but tbh the way he won the title was embarrassing and there's guys who died fighting there heart out for title and he got it handed to him. Both him and Norton were **** poor that night. Norton ****ed about and Leon would stand there for ages looking baffled and lifeless it was only last few rounds he went for it.
Bellew honestly deserves more than a british title, he should at least get a crack at the euro title VS Gutknecht as a comeback fight
Bellew destroys him. Bellew should take this fight if he can. At the very least to test out cruiserweight. The British 200 pound title has Bellews name all over it if he can get the fight.
Cruiserweight division is a halfway house. Otherwise Bellew would already be there. It's a shame because that's probabily his best fighting weight, and best chance of picking up a shiny strap. He'd beat Williams with one hand alone.
