And the only ones I can think of that was better than Ortiz at the time (excluding Pac), was Bradley and Martinez. Martinez is a middleweight, so that rules him out. Bradley is a nobody, which explains why he wasn't considered at all. Ortiz was a well-known that had just come off an exciting win that disguised his glaring faults that were on show in that win itself, and numerous fights before. Just because he was just one of the very few half-decent people available, in doesn't excuse the fact that he was no different to a Peterson that's available for Pac now.
