The Cristian 'El Diamanté' Mijares Express!

He was in the process of raising his hand there though Wallet, look where the motion starts, almost below his hip, and he proceeds to bring it up into a right hook.

Not sure really, hard to interpret. The Kawashima one was obvious and a ****-move, this just seems like he was trying to cloak the upcoming shot by bringing it up rather than feigning good sportsmanship as he did in his first offence.

 

Excellent fighter to watch, yeah. He was a beast offensively, very hard to dissuade - especially because he took most of the opponents shots on the gloves - and would relentlessly march forward throwing exclusively hooks, I think that's all he could throw, left and right hooks from short range. Had very underrated reflexes too imo, though they were underused, he could slip a shot very well, and he was surprising effective on the few occasions he brought out the pull back-left hook.

I just wish he had've defended his title more, he only fought like twice a year as champ(can't remember how long he held his strap for) and aside from Salim Medjkoune(sp?), Zarate, and that Thai dude who's name evades me - who realistically were nothing all that special anyways, competant challengers at world level I suppose - and of course Sithsamerchai, he didn't rack up a huge amount of really quality wins.

You're not wrong though, he really did fade away, quite surprising that he first retired when he did, even if it was a tremendous war he evidently had a lot more to give. Could've done a lot more in the interim imo.

:yep One can hope. It's a shame that Valdez was stopped by Bernache last time out, otherwise it would've made this performance look really sensational. That said, the only one who can make a claim to looking that good against Valdez is Hasegawa, and even then I'd say Diamante was better.

Utter joke of a fight. I don't care if he's looking for some kind of vindication after screwing up against him the first time, it's an awful defence. Why's he taking all of these rematches from his ''shot'' period anyways? The Nongqayi return was reasonable, however neither this fight nor the Angkota(granted, for a vacant ''title'', so perhaps not quite as bad) one are.

Parra was unfortunate to only receive a draw against Arce a couple of years ago, but he got dicked on by Anselmo Moreno last time out and in the last five years he's only actually looked good against Caballero, who he lost to anyways. Travieso's taking on some awful opposition now for a supposed ''fearless warrior''.

Screw him, he knows full well Diamante or any other top bantam/super bantam would have his ass.:deal

 

As further proof that I'm willing to single-handedly drive this express on this side of the Atlantic, despite being a self-confessed idiot when it comes to technology I've decided to make a foray into the world of YouTube to see how it goes.

It won't all be Mijares-related(though I have got another 5 or so fights of his to upload, I can still put up whatever I've got saved on my RealPlayer), but I can't imagine I'll be all that active all the same. Anyways, here's the Sasakul and Gorjux fights, only 10 & 4 minutes long respectively so be sure to check them out if it's not too much trouble. I don't know how but apparently it helps if you give them a like, so I'd appreciate if people actually did that.

Have about 4/5 more Mijares fights to put up, Lopez, Solis, Delarosa, etc. Uploaded Bruce Curry vs Luis Resto also, and am in the process of getting Tim Bradley vs Manuel Garnica, Martin Castillo vs Alexander Munoz II and Cory Spinks vs Deantre Latimore up too. I'm just going through all the stuff I have that isn't currently on YouTube, most in and around an hour long.:scaredas:
