What young heavyweight has the best potential?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Joe_MacKenzie, Nov 11, 2011.

  1. Well actually it's happening now you ****! Seth Mitchell is the most promisisng and he isnt a tall european who is 6'9." He's 6'2 and he can at least move and punch harder than Fury,Povetkin,Boytsov etc
Also,Tyson Fury recently revealed that he has been living off of his height so...the trend of these super tall HW will instead turn into talented HW. Your welcome junior.

Helenius is not a prospect anymore.

I think the best young heavyweight is Mike Perez.

Still hasn't happened has it. I'm looking for these great achievements of Mitchell's that prove your point and make me look like a ****. I'm trying to find some evidence of him cutting a swathe through the divisions contenders and champions. Where is it?

As far as Tyson Fury living off of his height goes. Well who cares, other fighters live off their power, or their speed, or their skill, footwork etc.....whats wrong with living off his height when lots of fighters have one attribute that they overly rely on.

    and dont call me junior......................boy.

    He's very good.

Perez is fighting in the US on Dec 30th. He'll face durable journeyman Friday Ahunyana on the Jermain Taylor card.

He's under 28 like the others in the poll.

I thought he deserved the win over Helenius, although Rafael's scorecard was absurdly wide.

Wasn't David Price stopped a lot in the AM's? I've never seen him fight, heard he is tall and has some athleticism and power, but if he was getting stopped in the AM's as often as I have heard how do you guys that picked him think he will be able to cope in the pros? I'm not bashing him, just asking for some insight.

    Out of that list, Helenius.

Helenius is still the best young HW by a landslide, but breaking his hand with the first hard R he threw is not looking optimistic like it was preChisora.

If he has glass hands, he will be quickly finished by a harder puncher like Mitchell or Wilder, wach or Rodriguez.

Helenius ain't going nowhere. Boytsov and Glazkov have biggest potential imo.
