How did Foreman generate so much power with such short movements?

Watching some of his fights and his movements look like he isnt generating much power at all until you see how his opponents react after impact

movement doesn't have to be drastic to generate power. he timed his movement from his legs all the way up his body. big natural puncher. strong man.

I think he was one of the most naturally gifted boxers of all time, especially in terms of results.

He had been boxing for less than 2 years before he won the gold medal by knockout over a soviet. That is freaking insane. People usually think of someone like RJJ or Hamed doing the matrix when they think naturally gifted and that is one way to be naturally gifted but foreman and his power and ability to cut off the ring was a natural gift as well.

Foreman's power come from the fact that most of his opponents were so much smaller than himself. Like 5'8" 190lb Jose Roman. When fighting opponents over 225lbs Foreman's KO'd no more than 30% of them.....

Foreman's KOs against 230lb+ opponents was poor.....But he also fought very few 230lb+ men....

Nice job throwing numbers out there. Foreman had 18 opponents who weighed north of 225. He ko'd 12. That leaves his KO percentage against opponents who weighted more then 225 at 66.6%. :rofl Better luck next time
