Roy Jones was the fastest and most athleticlly gifted boxer ever, ansd he's not even my favoriter. And as far as Roy vs Floyd, please, Roy would have beat his ass in every facet of the sport. Roy had more speed, relexes, power and ring generalship. Neither guy has great inside game or technical skills, they both do it with their athletic ability. Roy Jones far superior in every way. Plus, Roy never ducked anyone. He fought them all unlike that jail bird sissy floyd.

I disagree pretty strongly as far as May not having tech skills.

To me, speaking purely reflexes, there's not much between them. Roy just used athleticism to the fullest.

Roy easy. Whitaker was closer to Ward than Floyd, but Floyd is better technically. But is we are just talking reflexes, Roy.

Yes I do...Thats just not his style...please dont compare Roy's reflexes to Floyd's...Floyd is shapeless...like water...u pour water into a pot it becomes the pot...u pour it into a curvacious vase, it becomes the vase..Roy had just s many relfexes as any other fast fighter...thats my opinion

I doubt Floyd could pull of some of the godly moves that a prime Roy could, there is also the fact that he doesn't need to

Roy had the better natural reflexes but Floyd had the MUCH better trained reflexes and thus his defence was much better technically, against all styles and has a better longevity.

If Roy didn't have the unreal speed but more so the really good power then more guys would have had the balls to work through his offence to get through his defence.

I have never seen Floyd catch anyone with more than 3 punches ..

Maybe Gatti but he was a human punching bag ..

To me Floyd doesn't do nothing extra ordinary ,he is just brilliant at defnse and rolling with the punches ..Things that previous legends have done before ..Refrence Sweet Geroge Benton and see where the Shoulder roll started .If anything Jones is shapeless since he never did anything conventional thats all im saying ..

I have never seen any fighter that came close to Jones' athleticism in the ring ..If anything Floyd more of a typical fast fighter but with great defense ..

Started well before that. It's been a common technique since the turn of the century.

naw man trust me, Roy's reflexes were better. On a scale of 1-10, Floyd is a 10 and Roy is 11.

    Floyd's defense is better though

    aight shut the hell up

and to say Roy never ducked anybody and then call Floyd a ***** for doing it shows bias

that is the worst post i have ever read.you've clearly never seen mayweather fight

mayweather has a magnificent inside game.his uppercuts and use of shoulders and elbows to make space are second to none and his body punching is surprisingly effective, just watch the ricky hatton fight.and to suggest he has no technical skills is laughable, hes arguably the most technically sound fighter ever alongside whitaker, pep etc. roy did not have better ring generalship than mayweather.one thing i think mayweather definitely does better than anybody in history is control the ring, its extraordinary really that in 42 fights i can only think of one where he wasn't in control for the majority of the fight (castillo 1).granted jones had excellent ring generalship also but it doesn't compare to mayweather's.

roy jones is really only superior to mayweather in power.........speed and reflexes are arguable although roy's are more impressive due to his size.

and to suggest jones fought them all is dubious to say the least.i respect his resume and find it much deeper than the average poster here but there are clearly alot of names missing so i think you have a serious bias against mayweather as your post was completely false and hallow in every sense
