Gimme Gil Clancy anytime. Great insight, colorful delivery, sounds like that crusty old guy who knows what he's talking about. Worst was Ferdie Pacheco IMO. Who do you like?
Clancy was very good. Pacheco was pretty bad, but not the worst really. I liked his call with Bobby Czyz and Steve Albert on Showtime. Alex Wallau in the early days of HBO wasnt bad either. Max Kellerman is pretty bad. Sean OGrady and Al Albert were a great team on USA fights. Merchant Lampley have to be up there. Showtime has had some pretty awful teams lately. Its nice to see Steve Albert back at Showtime. All we need now is some great fights.
Gil Clancy is the best.....my favorite... I have a feeling everybody´s gonna hate me for this ........but I like Teddy Atlas.....
Reg Gutteridge was always very good. Guy knew what he was talking about. jim nielly and dave boy mcauley. Awful, just awful
Al Bernstein is the shiznit. Steve Farhood is great as well. One of my favorites is Shannon Briggs: really funny, a little crazy, and great fighter insight.
Bernstein is a play-by-play guy, isn't he? Never thought of him as a color analyst. I thought Wallau on ABC was also play-by-play, but I'm not sure he and Alex Karras had clearly defined roles.
I liked the team of gil Clancy and Tim Ryan, and honestly, though he was an aggravating, grandstanding, pontificating sort of ****, I enjoyed Howard Cosell.
