Kessler gets injured every three months now. The guy is never going to fight Bute, or Froch or Ward again. imho. ymmv.

 

Good post and spot on. Froch I think will be stopped by Bute. This Froch chin thing is a little overated. Yes he has a good chin but he does often look shaken when caught clean by reasonale punchers. Look how Froch looked against Taylor when dropped and how his legs looked against Dirrell. Neither of those guys hit like Bute. The only thing with Bute is that he doesnt like to commit too much unless he is really sure, as if he lacks faith in his own punch resistance. Thats not a terrible thing and Froch seems to believe too much in his own punch resistance now

 

But for what it's worth, Froch is a man and willing to fight the best and chance his chin being checked.

Bute fought and dominated one of the hardest punching ironchinned SMWs in the world and was the first to drop him in thier first fight, and the first to stop him in their second....Andrade.

Bute is the only reason Andrade is considered Blevel......if not for the viscious beatings he took from Lucian, Andrade would be right up there with the tops guys, just ask Robert Steiglitz and Mikkel Kessler, two of the top 6, both of which were seriously hurt by Andrade......Kessler surviving and getting a homecooked decision(although he was the clear winner, but not by the wide margins). Steilgitz wasn't so lucky as to let the hometown judges earn him a huge win.:deal

 

Bute needs to beat froch if his going to get to ward.
Otherwise ward will hide behind the super 3 tournament foreva.

Froch fought all of the original S6 line up one after the other and 5 of those 5 of those 6 fights were away. Froch is willing and shows a warriors mentality.
Ward had to have the majority of his big fights in his hometown.
Ward just doesnt seem to want to fight Bute

Just the wording THE SUPER SIX fooled many people.
Billed as the best SMWs when Taylor was 1-3 in his last 4 fights and 1-2 in his latest SMW outings. Abraham didnt have much SMW pedigree and A Dirrells best win is still arguably his best win (Oganov)

Green, Taylor, and old but solid Glen Johnson.......that says enough about the unreal aura around the S6.


IMO it should have been

Andrade, Bute, Froch, Ward, Kessler, and Dirrel as the original particpants.

Andrade is better than Abraham, Green, this version of Tayor, and old but solid Johnson. But........it is what it is, and Bute just needs to continue to be patient until the boxing public starts to demand him to step up to the plate here.

I mean no disrespect to any of the S6 particpants, but in reality it was more of an S3 with 5 fillers added and 1 S4 left out.
