quit with this **** that you alone know how to score a fight. the three official judges which were all at the ring side can see better than all of us and can hear the punches better.

there is no one way to score a close fight as you think this fight it should be. most believe this fight is close and only some pure marquez hardcores thinks this is a domination.

that is exactly one of my points. they see the fight better than we do. i had the luxury of seeing the fight again on TV in high definition and this time with commentary turned down. i saw a completely different fight. u get rid of the crowd, the talking in the background, and actually pay attention to what is going on, u can see y all 3 judges had pac winning. my card was the same as that one judge who had it 116-112 pac

If it was just me i would accept that i saw it wrong, but the fact is the vast majority agrees with me.
And the other fact is you people keep scoring ineffective aggression which is NOT a scoring criteria.

Also its long known that being at ring side actually blocks your view for the most part and you get some crummy angles at times.
Still no excuse for the blatent butchery of a scorecard they handed in. (because Arum paid them which he pretty much admitted too)

There is just no possible way to even give Pac 6 rounds to earn him a draw so hence the understandeble, justified and needed outrage and why its ROBBERY OF THE YEAR.

    Get it? twirp.

*also i know how to score a fight BECAUSE I USE THE RULES, its not THAT complicated even though know you have difficulty understanding logic.

i don't know if you are just tripping but if you are not and have rewatched this fight with open eyes, then props to you for telling it as what it is.

unlike these fools who have see it the first time, they think marquez has dominated and robbed. the truth is very far from it.

just watch without your emotions attached and you can see why marquez did not get the judges decision.

marquez even told us before hand that he would not let it go to the hand of the judges and would knock pacquiao out. what really happened was that marquez fought cautiously and tried not to get knocked down this time. it's ok, but don't expect all the judges to score for you in close rounds.

Also if you do not have Pacs balls dangling infront of your eyes its pretty clear to see Marquez putting on a exhibition in Ring Generalship, Clean Punching, Effective Agression and Defense.

You know the things you SHOULD be scoring boxing on?

Its hard to be a fan of Pac (who i even defended over and over on this forum in a fight vs Mayweather) when you amazingly blind and just obnoxious minority keep lying to the masses trying to convince people of something that did not happen.

i think that you can't be helped anymore. :-(

you can whine all day but trying to say that this fight was rigged is a sign of depression and hopelessness.

i debated you before about the 4 criterias of scoring but you can only see this fight scored one way. and you gave more emphasis to marquez' counterpunching. the official judges gave more emphasis to pac's aggression and activity in those close rounds.

these type of fights r always hard to score esp. when they r close. some people say jmm dominated the fight because he countered pac. but, the fight i saw was pac doing most of the fighting while jmm sat back in the pocket and decided to throw 1 or 2 punches to win the fight. aint gonna happen. most judges see that and say hes losing the fight because the other guy is doing all the fighting while the other dude is content to throw a few to win the fight. that was no robbery. that is some bs his fans invented to make it look like jmm won

true. i scored it 7-5 for pacquiao but i have no problem seeing scores the other way since i know those are close rounds and you can actually give emphasis to jmm's counterpunching which he did best during the middle rounds.

what some of these people would not credit for was pac's aggression and activity which is harder if the other guy is just waiting for you to make a mistake. marquez has been down this road before. he fought the aggressor against a good conter-puncher in floyd and got beat. pac fought as the agressor the whole night and made it a close fight.

that is exactly my point. u cant beat a guy when he is coming at u like a whirlwind. jmm was on the defensive the whole nite. pac does what he does always, come right at u with his flurries, and excellent footwork to make u miss. jmm not capable of withstanding that arsenal. maybe when he was younger, but, not now. pac hasnt changed much in activity. hes a lot smarter now. back in the day u could hit him, now it so much harder to do so. hes a way better fighter than people give him for. i just hope the fight with floyd happens. it will be spectacular.

A fight is scored on 4 criteria.

    1. clean punching- Obiviously Marquez punches were more precise and clear.

    2. Effective aggression- An effective aggressor does'nt have to be going foward. Aggressor means a fighter who's letting his hands go. He's punching.
Marquez threw his shots with leverage and torque behind them, thats being effective.
Pacquiao so off balanced, was relugated to throwing and even when he was landing, they were arm punches. Pacquiao was'nt putting much of anything behind his shots because everytime he attempted it, his head got snapped back with a sizzling hard counter. Thats not Pacquiao being effective.
Marquez wins the effective aggression category.

3.Ring Generalship- If you say Pacquiao was the ring general, that he controlled the pace and tempo and established ring rhythm, then I dont know what the mods are waiting for in this forum. You're of no use here and should be banned immediately.

4.Defense- Never was Pacquiao in any rhythm offensively, and it was due to Marquez' backstepping, headmovement, and swiveling of the hips that had Pacquiao in a confused state and missing everytime he came foward attempting to throw punches with some authority behind them.
Even Freddie Roach admitted, "Manny never hit him with anything great."

There you have it, broken down nicely. It would take a complete clown with oversized clown shoes to attempt to break down the criteria for scoring a fight and explain the reasons for having each criteria in Pacquiao's favor.

    I'll add one final thought.
When scoring a fight, the rules state heavy emphasis should be placed on clean effective punches, and we all know Marquez landed the cleaner harder blows consistently throughout the fight.

Smitty breaks it down beautifully from the 5 min mark till the end of the video here........

Would sure like to here someone who's respected break it down like Smitty did here in Pacquiao's favor.
Good luck in trying to find a piece like that that would favor Pacquiao.:yep

JMM's fans especially Divac have to be the whiniest bunch here on ESB. Day in day out, all they do is whine, whine, whine, whine, whine.........and whine again.

i have to go now but would comment on your other points later. will comment on this one.

please watch the fight again and marquez did not landed the cleaner and harder blows the whole night. i can agree during the middle rounds but not the whole fight. most of marquez shots were blocked by pac's gloves or elbows. you must be counting those shots too?

pacquiao consistently, did landed some clear and effective punches. he used that right hand effectively aside for the usual left which he slips and quicly moves out of the way.

also i know punch stats means slittle but they have to based it off in the actual fight and based on this, pac threw more and landed more.

Obviously you don't know. Take a class.

Pacquaio controlled the pace, Marquez was comfortable with it. But didn't control it. Clean Punching? Both guys had, maybe Marquez hit a little more clean, but Pacquaio also hit several shots who weren't completely clean but hurtful. Effective aggression? You can say both had it, or none. Chess-match were none really were really aggressive, but at the same time controlled movement. Defense? Well, Marquez got out-landed by some solid numbers, so he possibly can't have had the better defense.

Close fight, the refs obviously favored Pacquaio going forward and taking the fight to Marquez. But there is case for decision win for Marquez if they had favored his counter.
