If Magee is Bute's best win there's no way he can have a better resumé than Froch. Lol!

Bute's best win is either Andrade II or Johnson. I'm leaning towards Johnson and IMO that win is enough to 'qualify' for a shot at Ward.

You are trying to make this about weight, instead of quality, so you can make your cherry-picking hero look like a real champion. But he is still a paper champion, regardless of your nut-hugging.

Froch beat a lot of world-class fighters; some were moving up or down in weight, but they were all great fighters. Seven of them were champions, former champions, or future champions.

Bute has beaten a lot of mandatory bums and is milking his paper title like a true paper champ.

he faced some better opposition in Ward and Kessler but lost to them.He beated some "names" but they were all unproven at smw.People who say Bute hasn't faced anyone and never hear of Berrio,Bika or Andrade have no clue.I also rate Magee and Mendy as a decent wins cause Megee is a b+ fighter and Mendy was undefeated in 29 fights when he faced Bute.

    Lets get real.

For years and years many saw Trinidad as Hopkins defining and best win.

Yet Trinidad hasn't done anything at MW.

Look at the fighter's quality first.

I never said Magee was Butes best win. I wrote Magee is the most accomplished SMW that Froch has beaten, and that Bute has beaten him also

Some fighters cant cut it at a weight. Try and fight your corner with details and facts please.
    Dirrells best win is Oganov
    Abraham cant fight at SMW
Johnson was never able to compete at SMW

    Get it :good

Once again you leave yourself open for being slaughtered :patsch.
    You never learn.
At SMW Pascal beat nobody. NOBODY. You find me one fair name SMW Pascal beat. This will be good.

Now Manfredo wasnt a great match up, but made for America, yet Manfredo was a top 10 world rated SMW who had beaten Pemberton and undefeated Spina. Not great names but above anything Pascal did at SMW :hi:

Thats right. Tito was a good fighter, but not at MW or above.
Reality Tito was a fighter that looked lucky against Oscar to many and had been put down 7 times that I know of at lesser weights

    Care to elaborate

    Record wise, its Froch.

He has the more quality wins. Sure he loses a couple of points for wins over fighters moving up, so does Bernard Hopkins with the Tito and DLH victories at MW, but in both cases you still have to take the quality and history of the opponent into account, even if they were campaigning at a lower weight class. You just don't wipe the slate clean and say they haven't had success at the new weight, and that therefore the victory doesn't count. You could certainly downgrade the victory a tad, especially if the opponent continues to show nothing at the weight, but not to the extent were you are ranking victories over the likes of Berrio and Andrade as superior to Taylor and Abraham just because they're natural SMW's.

Having said that Bute looks the more accomplished operator to me, and I would expect him to outpoint Froch quite widely and even give Ward a run for his money.

Froch and its not close. Which is why when Ward beats down Bute many will just simple say, "who has bute beaten for this to be a premier win?"

Just because the opponent doesnt have a solid resume at the given weight dont make him a lesser fighter:-

    Wladimir Kiltschko UD12 David Haye
...But David Haye didnt do **** at HW.

Hopkins Knocking out Trinidad against the odds dont mean jack because Trinidad was a Welterweight.

    Mike Tyson KO1 Michael Spinks
    .....But Spinks is a CW.

Hagler UD15 Duran, ....Duran was a former LW who aint done much at MW.

Joe Louis one of the greatest HW's lost to Cruiserweights Ezzard Charles and Marciano.

Monzon's best wins over Griffith and Napoles aint much since they were Welterweights.

Sonny Liston best win over Cruiserweight Patterson.

SRL beating Duran, Duran was a former LW.

Pryor's win over Arguello aint much either.

Mayweather KO Hatton, Hatton was nobody when he put on 7 extra pounds.

Hearns most decorated win at MW was over a LW.

    7 pounds = 3KG

For a prime athlete with good conditioning at a decent age with good nutritution and no bad habits, this doesnt make a major difference.

But for a boxer near the end of his career who already lost 30 odd pounds to and has to cut down 7 more, then maybe.

    BTW, Froch's SMW resume > Bute's.

Froch's has fought the better opposition.
