There are a lot of similarities between the way Bute is viewed in Canada and the way Kim Jong-il was viewed in North Korea.

The Canadians are just fed so much propaganda and cut off from boxing reality that they really don't have a clue what's going on. As an outsider it's hard to sit back and watch.

Everyone knows you have to knock Bute down for the 20 count to beat him in Canada.

To me...it sounds like Ward is trying to duck Bute. Any fighter who is a real throwback fighter would not have said something to that effect. They would have said that they can fight right away. Bute does want to fight in America and Andre Ward isnt the man who decides who has done enough to earn a shot. Sure the super 6 has crowned a champion but that only goes but so far. Now we are outside of the confines of the super 6 and Bute is the guy who can claim he is the best fighter at smw other than Ward. Mr. Ward needs to stop trying to make it seem as if he dictates who has done what and do his job as a fighter. Bute wants to fighht but Ward wants to play God.

    Good post.

I dont get what Ward wants off of Bute. Ward says something like Bute should step up and when it comes to Bute stepping up to fight Ward, Ward then doesnt want to fight him.

Ward will show what hes about when he takes on far lesser names than Bute and then probably moves up to LHW

    These are Bute's purses:
    vs Alexandro Berrio - 200.000 $
    vs William Joppy - 700.000 $
    vs Librado Andrade - 700.000 $
    vs Fulgencio Zuniga - 500.000 $
    vs Librado Andrade - 908.000 $
    vs Edison Miranda - 700.000 $
    vs Jesse Brinkley - 1.000.000 $
    vs Brian Magee - 1.200.000 $

Note: Pavlik offer was 1.350.000 $ if I remember well, that makes it
a bigger purse than what Bute has made until Magee.

That's more like it. 2M$ was a bit exaggerated but those are still very good purses for a non-american boxing guy who doesn't take on the top 5.

    Thanks for the numbers :good

Only Kessler does, next to Bute. But he had 1 chance so it should be Bute's turn and than Kessler again if he wants to.

Andrade was #3 SuperMiddleweight in the first fight and #5 in the second. Berrio was #6 I believe. Bika was at times #5 or #6 SMW. Johnson was ranked #6 when he fought Bute.

Never in boxing have I ever seen a guy duck a top 3 guy in the world and a man who held a belt longer with more defenses by saying the guy isnt ready

that is complete horse ****, Ward be honest just say you want an easy Oakland homecoming bout thats fine and reasonable

but dont say a guy like Bute who has reigned as a champ longer than you and been in the top 3 longer than you is not ready

Ward hardly earned a title shot vs Kessler

Bute fought and beat who he could while being exiled from the tournament, if he was in the Super 6 like he should have the fights he doesnt have he would of had

and dont say he is not ready, he beat some of Ward's opponents and in easier fashion
