Evander Holyfield....just kidding. I'd have to go with Adamek.

By the way anyone thing Chagaev vs Haye would be a pretty cool match up?

Chambers is a good boxer with decent speed but he lacks power to really ever make a mark my vote went to povetkin. I don't even mind that he's the only guy who is willing to say he needs more experience to fight a k brother. Bate is probably the best but as long as he's "retired" you can't vote for him

Right now I say Povetkin. But I think after about two years, Helenius will be the best.

I never rated Haye not before not now at Heavy.
He struggled with Valuev more than Chagaev or Holyfield did.

His only claim to glory is to last the distance with Wladimir.
I rated Chagaev, Adamek, Povetkin and Chambers above him and i still do, and i am convinced any of them would beat Haye.

Im going to vote for Povetkin since before he turned into a chicken**** he had 1 of the fastest rises of a heavyweight in combination with a stellar amateur career.
I am however afraid Atlas completely ruined him, why in gods name would you try to make him fight like Tyson when he does not have the power or the speed.

Chagaev and Chambers got stopped but they actually tried to win, same with Adamek vs Vitali.... if you actually TRY you will probably get stopped but at least you have a shot at winning.
Haye was just happy to run his mouth and collect a payday.

Haye is a fraud and a joke and has not proven himself to even be a top 5 heavy.
And i said this way before he fought Wlad.

I am so happy to see so much well deserved support for David on this thread.

In addition to being the most exciting fighter on the planet, retired or active, David: (1) is a throw-back warriour who will fight anyone/anytime/anywhere (2) established himself as an ATG defensive fighter who avoided the best jab in the history of HW boxing for a full 12 rounds using head movement unparalleled in its degree of superiority (3) proved that he is oblivious to pain that would have left your average professional sportsman writhing on the ground curled in a fetal position.

With his out-of-the-ring accomplishments even exceeding his historic accomplishments in the ring, David is an English icon who is also beloved in Wales, Scotland and the North of Irleand. We all owe David a debt of gratitude for what he has done for boxing and, most importantly, for the United Kingdom. Knighthood is not a question of whether, but only one of how soon.

No one listed on the poll is in his league.

    Sad haters.

Based on what? what did he prove outside of struggeling with on his best win more than Chagaev or the corpse that is Holyfield?
Haye proved absolutely nothing at HW, what makes him this best HW outside of the Klitschkos?

Theres several heavies out there with a MUCH better resume, and skill set.
