Was just reading about Mayweather on Wiki and this popped up which i thought was kind of ironic

"Before the fight was announced, Mayweather had stated he wanted to fight Corrales, who was facing jail time for allegedly beating up his pregnant wife. "I want Diego because I'm doing it for all the battered women across America", Mayweather said. "Just like he beat that woman, I'm going to beat him."[49]"

Lets get real don't believe everything you read on Wiki.

Floyd probably tried to reduce his sentence by fighting another *****.

I dont feel its right to beat up a chick though if she pisses you off, unless she does something terrible than you might slap her. But not land a combo to put her on a stretcher. Especially as a pro boxer.

Women can press your buttons like no-one else. Sometimes you wanna just KTFO of them and others cherish them like no one else.

i'm curious to know how heavy did floyd hit her. i mean people exagerate crap all the time about their spouse beats them with a slap or a shove. I mean if their spouse really beats on them i doubt they will be able to call the police.

Damn, people need to search before they post thread subjects that have already been discussed.

    What about this quote?

Mayweather Jr. turned down a $12.5 million contract extension from HBO, terming it slave wages, setting off a feud with his father, which resulted in:

-- Floyd Sr. being dismissed from Floyd Jr.'s camp as manager and trainer.

-- Mayweather Jr. evicting his father from a Summerlin home he owned.

-- Mayweather Jr. repossessing a van from his father he had allowed his father to use.

-- Mayweather Jr. fighting only twice in the next 16 months.

The public view of Mayweather turned from that of a Prince Charming to a Darth Vader. His father, one of his most vocal critics, said he is praying for his son to win Saturday but is fearful of what a win will do to him.

"He may be trying to act nice to you guys (in the media) now because somebody told him he had better do that, but I'm afraid if he wins this fight, he'll become an even bigger monster," Mayweather Sr. said.

personally i don't like people making assumptions about floyd based on what has happened with his father cos no one knows for sure what snr has done in the past.

Im not assuming things, floyd obviously hassome weird relationship with his dad but these old quotes are good research stuff to give people a perspective on situations around the fights, we usually only watch fights raher than study the stuff around it eventhough it makes a lot of stuff clearer or helps you form an opinion on someone or what the situation was going in the fight.
