Moorer's always been a bit of an odd guy. He's often seen as quiet and subdued, but in one of those "pure rage simmering under the surface" kind of deals. Occasionally, it flashes out.

Main thing I remember from his brief champion run in 1994 was him spending most of it shying away from interviews and claiming for a good couple months that he was thinking of retiring. Practically had to be coaxed into the Foreman fight, and that just because the moolah was so good. One of the strangest periods of any pro boxer as 'The Man' in his division.
