If Bute isn't worthy of a shot at Ward, how is Dre Dirrell worthy of a shot at Bute?

So many good fights get wasted for no valid reasons when putting things in perspective.

Gamboa vs Juanma was gonna be huge until they let it wait too long....

Ward vs Bute is guaranteed big money and you never know when the big money will ever come around again...

Just ask Pavlik now if he regrets his comments about the S6...

The best should always fight the best when possible + they should never let a very decent paycheck pass by if its possible to get it.

Dirrell's wins over Froch and Abraham are both better than anyone on Bute's resume. That's all that needs to be said. You're the one without a leg to stand on. Bute hasn't a single win over a top opponent. Johnson is his best win, that speaks volumes.

A win against a top boxer is better than 5 wins against b/c level opponents.

You're just repeating what others say without looking into the real facts. The S6 has blinded you too.

Bute has met more top 10 fighters at the time of the fights at 168lbs, than Dirrell has.

    Saying otherwise is just ignorance.

    Dirrell didn't beat Froch.

Dirrell outboxed Abraham over 10 then got tagged a lot in the championship rounds.

Andrade was top 5 SMW both times Bute beat him.

Bika (#7), Berrio (#7), Johnson (#6) and Magee (#10) were all Ring top 10 when Bute beat them.

Who are you calling "a top boxer" again? Froch or Abraham?!?

...and I'm the one who's got no leg to stand on.

What top 5 boxers has he beaten?

Dirrell has beaten 2, Bute has beaten none. There's a fact for you to chew on.

    You're pretty thick.

Dirrell has never beaten any top 5 SMW. Abraham was #6 when Dirrell won by DQ.

Andrade was #3 first time around, #5 in the rematch.

    Well done boss. :yep

    This is true.

The only one who has an argument for having a better resume than Bute is Ward(And Ward does have the better resume).

Froch comes REAL close, Carl has a great resume, but outside of Taylor, they share the next biggest win(Johnson). Andrade was ranked higher than Taylor.

Abraham was #6. Can't rank Dirrell on a win he didn't recieve with Froch. Pacquiao is stil pfp #1, afterall.

Dirrell isn't a bigger name than Andrade was when Bute fought him. He isn't a bigger name than Bika was either. He isn't a bigger name than GJ was either.

Abraham was ranked #6 once at SMW, don't know for sure if he was ever top5 but someone who cares should verify.

Bika was #7 IBF and #10 Ring Magazine, when he fought Bute
Bika is #5 Ring Magazine in this moment.

Is an interview on the scene with Dirrel , who is calling out Bute. He says Bute is a protected fighter and wants to fight him. Maybe Lucian will fulfil his Christmas wish.

I still wish for Bute-Froch but if not Dirrell is a great back-up plan.
