Oscar = Faded and Shot

Hatton = Undersized, One Dimensional, Lead with His Face the Entire Night

Marquez = Lightweight dragged up to welterweight, cheated the scales

Mosley = Old, bad style match up, gassed after Round 3

Ortiz = On the verge of being stopped by Berto, known quitter, mentally/emotionally fragile - clear cherrypick

 

Not to mention Hatton and Ortiz were weight drained. Then Mosley had his blood drawn from the USADA testing and it made him weak. If he hadn't taken the test and got to use his Cleto Reyos gloves, he would have KO'd Floyd.

Then the Marquez fight was despicable. He dragged little Marquez up to 144. Now the whole world knows Marquez sucks at 144. I think every WW in the top 10 could beat Marquez at 144. Only a complete jackass couldn't beat him

 

Make him fight legally, and it's a much easier task.

 

For Pacquiao, Marquez enlisted the help of a Balco guy who claimed to have invented over 20 undetectable PEDs (fact), put on some serious muscle (fact), lost no speed (fact), and was drinking PEDialyte between rounds (fact).

World class fighters are easy to beat. Especially future HOFers who are considered among the best in the sport.

That's been the problem with Floyd though. For his best wins he made us wait for years, and they ended up being less meaningful than they otherwise would have been had he taken them as soon as fans called for them.

Hatton, he eventually fought him 2 years after he should have at the weight that favored him, instead of when they were both at 140 and both coming off big impressive wins.

Same thing happened with Mosley, Floyd could have fought him when Shane was lightweight king and then much earlier at 147, but ended up fighting a 38 year old version who hadn't fought in 15 months.

And now he's done the same thing with Pacquiao in the three years they've been in the same division. Not to mention Cotto and Margarito, who he didn't even bother to fight.

 

Floyd obviously is not easy to beat, but who knows if he'd have a loss or two now had his career leading up to and after the De La Hoya fight not been carefully managed and he'd fought the best available opponents.

 

There are some pure hate comments on this thread. Which is to be expected when talking about floyd.

Floyd can and most likely will be beatten. But all this talk about who he fought needs to stop. Marquez is the same fightter for pac as he was vs floyd.

I think one of the problems is many more people now understand pac is not the guy that can beat him. Instead of people being pissed that floyd is going to jail they are happy knowing now what I've said all along, the fight with pac is very much doubtful.

 

Yes carefully managed by fighting all the top fighters from 130 to 140. Thing about floyd is it was alwat the guy he didn't fight that was the toughest fight question is what top fighters did he miss?

 

Notice I said right before the DLH fight and afterwards.

From 130-135 he fought the best, I won't argue, he was a beast at those weights. Hernandez before his 20th fight, and first defence against Manfredy, Corrales his undefeated rival at the weight, Chavez, Castillo first fight at 135 and immediate rematch.

It's just after that at 140 it drops off and then as a megastar when he could've picked any fight he wanted.
