Got a feeling it be a good fight, Tony's last chance really he can still fight on but it ends any realistic hope of pushing career on. McKenzie is dangerous early but Tony's not type to bottle coming forward and it could make for a really good fight. McKenzie is favorite he's a big LHW punches hard but i wouldn't count Dodson out if he gets past first 3 rounds.

Pity it's not Enzo Mac in there.

This is a good fight though.

  5. I think it'll be a fun fight, if Dodson makes it to the middle rounds he should win.

    McKenzie's stamina isn't brilliant.

I do wonder though how much Dodson has left... he's had a few wars, a few long periods out of the ring and was always tight at 168 too.

He might have Jamie Moore syndrome, where the move up in weight was far too late and he was ****ed by then anyway.

Should be a good fight Tony will win inside the distance IMO , providing mckenzie comes to fight, otherwise it could get quite scrappy mckenzie is very under rated and a lot better than his record suggests , but the same can be said for Tony Dodson who has been in some great fights over the years and if not for injuries could have moved on from British level and on to bigger things ,Brian magee avoided him like the plague after he stepped in at a days notice to beat Brian barbosa after magee pulled out coz he didn't fancy the job ,and look at were magee is at the moment . However a lot of posters say it's tony's last chance but he's still young enough at 31 to make a bit of noise at LHW hope you have a good camp Tony. good luck mate

This is actually a very solid 50/50 fight, and one that has the potential to turn into a very good fight if both fighters come with the right attitude. McKenzie is dangerous early on but as we all know if it goes past 3/4 rounds McKenzie will inevitably tire and this should allow Tony to win the later rounds, something tells me that Tony will be giving Mr Bellew a call for a few tips for this one.

I'm not a fan of saying that one fight is a fighter’s last chance to keep themselves relevant because if you can get yourself a few decent wins at a lower level you will always be able to get a bigger fight. But in this case it does have a feel of a loser leaves town type bout and it won't exactly elevate either fighter to the next level, it should give the winner an extension on their relevance on the domestic scene whilst the loser will have to go through some serious rebuilding if they are to get a chance of securing a bigger fight. Saying that who wouldn’t be surprised to see the winner of this get a world title shot against Clev :patsch.

I always had respect for Dodson when he stepped in short notice and beat Barbosa a man Brian Magee pulled out against IIRC cos it was to risky. He beat Barbosa and the Quigley fight he showed such heart and skill in adversity that i'd like to see him make a go of his career. It's been stop start for a guy who does have good boxing ability.
