I'm sure you can absorb this one, Ruben Williams was landing with just about the same consistancy as Joe was when Ruben fought Jeff several fights prior. Jeff was straight hype and you can call it what you like but Joe's thumping of Jeff was written in the stars and while I admit I wanted to see Jeff put a hurting and Joe all who knew boxing knew Jeff was extremely limited. You can chalk up the support for Jeff in a similar fashion to the support Hatton received when he fought Floyd, misguided but passionate as hell. LMAO!
How come Tarver couldnt 2 out of 3 times when he had done it before? How come Hopkins the now #1 LHW couldnt? How come it took a big world rated CW like Lebedev 10 rounds?
some of those stoppages are hilarious, the ref literally stops the other guy in the act of punching to "save him "
LMAO. It's funny many of the Calzaghe ball gobblers often try to tout Calzaghe's power in their arguments, but aren't even familiar enough with his career to know that he only has like two real KO's where the guy is knocked down and can't continue. The rest are ref stoppages, many of which are questionable. He likely still would have beaten those opponents, but to stop fights when the opponent can still go is ridiculous, especially with a slapper like Slappy Joe Calsacky. If Paulie Malignaggi was Welsh, and fought where Calzaghe did coming up, with those same refs, he would likely have a 70% stoppage ratio also.
Who the **** is lacy, o wasnt he the next best thing in America, Joe ****ing raped him in that ring the biggest schooling anyone has ever seen at that level of boxing... By the way he isnt my idol but i just know what a talent he was at supermiddle weight, unstopable.. By the way you talk about Froch who i have more respect for as a boxer got beat by Kessler i didnt even see a close fight when Joe beat him, i think you need to get your facts right before you come on here. see ya. :hi:
I know you are in love with Joe but i expected you to not bi biased for once, as i wrote repsect fighter for what he is he is not a puncher and never was, he was not like Paulie Malinagi but he was not a puncher end of story!
It's all a KO in the log book though In fact the term is irrelevant- Unfortuntley a KO is when a ref counts to ten, sometimes a knockout is so bad that you cant wait for that **** example Pac Hatton was a tko guys have died from a tko Anyway Im blabbing now Point is that a lot of Joes opponents should not have been stopped there terrible british ref quick stoppages- that continues today
That is a good point,he must have had enough power to make people concerned. His style of fighting was more likely to get a stoppage or points win rather than a straight KO.It was just the way he fought, speed and skills rather than letting big bombs go.Not my favorite fighter but I appreciate he was good. This vid clearly made to take the ****.
you heard of frank bruno? he made shitloads of money in england despite very limited ability, and is still today a much loved national icon. leave your pathetic skin colour rants out of this before i grab the back of your scrawny neck and uppercut you 58 times in succession with ferocious power and pinpoint accuracy.
I wasn't the one who first brought up race in this thread you dumbass Bruno was more comedian(inside the ring of coursE) than boxer, that's why the Brits loved him.
prime toney prime toney got the **** kicked out of him by dave tiberi and could only muster a draw against a plodder like sanderline williams prime toney was scraping split decisions against the likes of sosa and reggi johnson, as well as losing tice to midget griffin and the legendary thadzi :rofl here, lets have a dose of reality on this thread and check out the run of fighters toney fought whilst he was a champion at 168 after winning the title against an iran barkley who had previously just lost to nigel benn in 1 round and to a shot 38 former lightweight in duran (9-3-1) chavers (11-9-1) r thomas (24-1) g thomas (25-9) garcia (10-10) prather (35-5-1) thornton (27-4-1) hembrick (24-0) tim littles (11-6-1) durham (36-5-2) williams (26-0) roy jones (one side beatdown) look at that list, the worst run of opponents any champion has ever faced in the history of boxing (even worse than jones' embarrassing 175 run and hopkins cringeworthy 160 run) :deal look at steroid disgrace james toney's run of opponents as champion at 168 and understand why no poster on here with an ounce of common sense could ever take anything you have to say seriously atsch take your american blinkers off and get the **** out of this thread you cum gargling shemale :vonnecunt
