To beat Joe in his prime you either had to hurt him, or knock him out. He had basically unlimited stamina and threw about 70 punches/slaps a round, and always came foward. Joe, would win on points.

In any case Roy Jones Jnr in his prime was the best SMW ever PERIOD!!! Ward and Calzaghe are up there, but i cannot see them beating superman in his prime.

So now you're arguing that Jones, was not shot, HOLY ****, is that your argument? He eeks out a decision against Tarver, gets TKO'd then is BRUTALY ko'd by Glen Johnson, a man who in RJJ's prime would've been made to look like the journeyman he is and you're arguing one of THE GREATEST boxers in history wasn't shot??! :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Tito lost two in a row and retired after the RJJ fight, how's that for faded?

Everyone was commenting on the tremendous amount of weight Toney had lost and was hoping he would do well, but no one who had half a brain was hedging their bets on Toney. That just amounts to you trying to prove a point that's non-existent.

When does any of this matter when Jones was brutally ko'd AGAIN! (Signs of a shot fighter)

It was a clear shot behind the head.
I think you're taking this legitimization of Calzaghe's opponent caliber way too far.

Go to 12:51 the slow mo and watch again. It wasnt where Hopkins was holding his glove to his head. It was on the side of his head. Hopkins is holding his glove at the back of his head.
Remeber P Williams got the benefit of a KD against S Martinez for a punch to the back of the head, not to the side of the head like the one that landed on Hopkins

I have a 32 inch monitor, that was a hit to the back of the head. Second, the ref was right there and would not have ruled it as such if it was not. Try again.

    Watch it again

As you can see Hopkins couldnt beat the count

Now a punch behind the head, go to 9 secs.

If Martinez hadnt of beaten that count it would have been over.
Guess its tough for you guys when its your legend (beaten by Calzaghe) Hopkins

Just stop it Bailey. You're either a liar, or deluded. Either one doesn't change that it was ruled a punch behind the head. An illegal blow.

In response to the shot behind the head?

Roy Jones Jr.- "I didn't hit him that hard" :rofl

Alien noted that D Boone laid out a blueprint for Ward. Some felt Ward lost tha fight and if there was anyone hurt in that fight it wasnt D Boone

He was asked a question and he answered it how he felt best, its not as if he has called Ward out or anything silly like that. Calzaghe is so irrelevant that he is still one of the most talked about fighters discussed on these boards...
