is she the best trainer of the year , NO

but she is probably the biggest come from behind story in boxing this year , no one was giving kirkland a chance

 

ya it's yahoo, so the award doesn't really matter, but giving it to her makes sense. I just hope the real award goes to Garcia

 

Kirkland isnt slick but he aint crude either. His punches are throw with form and technique. His jab and uppercuts were far better then Angulo's. It wasnt just strength and speed.

 

i noticed that , more compact and straiter , funny when you think about who was training angulo :blood

 

he might as well , but he will always be limited

 

I'd vote for Nacho and that PEDs expert who helped Marquez prepare for the Pacquiao fight as co-winners.

 

Ann wolfe is one of two lesbians I got respect and love for. If I had a kid, I would pay Wolfe to train him/her.

 

I started a thread asking the same question . . . I thought she would have a shot at it but I didn't think anyone would name her the trainer of the year!

I agree with the overall point of the article, that no one trainer had as major impact on their boxer as Anne had on Kirkland. kirkland not only beat up AA but he easily out boxed him. After that first knockdown he was never even close to being in trouble again. To go from getting KOed by ishida to KOing the juggernaut angulo was a HUGE leap in progress.

I think most other organizations will choose hunter or garcia but I am glad Anne got some recognition:happy:happy:happy

I think Nacho's gameplan was for Angulo to counter Kirkland. Which he did, which got the knockdown. Nacho probably knew Angulo wasnt as fast as Kirkland so he would sit back and let Kirkland do all the work while he picked and placed his shots. Then Angulo made a rookie mistake and blew his load. After that it was just a massacre.
