And Ali is arguably the greatest heavyweight ever. No shame in 'losing' to him.

Yeah I forgot this was the General forum of course.

He is a Beast, he would be Competetive with anyone, But a prime Ali would run and take a easy UD,

I don't think so, no HW in history is going to win a wide decision against Vitali unless another freak injury ala Byrd happens early in the fight and Vit goes on to fight until the last bell.

Vitali doesn't drop rounds, simple as that, and while i think that Ali possesed the speed and slickness to get a decision over him, it would be a very close one.

i think that Ali's and Norton's agile type could very well outfox Vitali to a decision, but a Foreman a Liston or a frazier are dead meat against Vitali.

Yes he would. Truth is, Vitali never lost a fight on the points, and whats even more scarier is that his KO-rate is the highest of a HW-champion. So generally it is hard to see Vitali lose, but there is defiantly some guys from the past, who could've won against him or giving him problems.

Yes Vitali would be competitive in any era of boxing. I am not saying he would beat everyone nor am I saying he would lose to everyone. His stats alone in boxing and kickboxing prove that anyone fighting him would have a hard time beating the man.

Even after all this, people are picking Chimpsora to beat him.

Great post, this is how vitali should be viewed, such a waste that he is active in a weak era so we cant see him tested like he would have been in the 90's

Is he really competetive in this era - All the other rated fighters fight the world number 1 Vladimir.
Vitali gets a free pass just fighting the left overs - Plenty of fighters would have equal records if they didnt have to fight Vladimir

His combination of size and boxing skills is rare. You rarely see big guys throwing combinations like he does, and most boxers his size are easier to hit.
