When Hurtado fought the russian he had a bad hand, his right to b exact, and he has only 10 days to get prepared, against Pea he got caught looking at the ref and that's all she wrote, he had alot of problems with his management and that is why it took him so long to comeback, then he said to me that he had lost the desire, but he was supposed to fight in September for one of the major belts...
You mean in the present? Espero que se mantenga retirado, porque su nivel a bajado muchisimo por su edad. Espero que no haga lo mismo que Casamayor peleando despues de viejo. :-( Yeah I know that he had a bad hand against Tszyu and was still able to knock him down 2 times in the first. Hurtado was a great boxer/puncher and his movements were A+.
Hurtado maybe the best counterpuncher after Rigo, very technical but his management was the worse ever, fighting Kostya with 2 weeks notice after winning a 12 UD was just crazy... then his legs started giving up and age cathed up with him.Hope he stays retired for his own good.
I'd like to see Rigondeaux fighting against guys like : Ramos , Nishioka , Gamboa, Salido ,Chris John, Lopez , Ponce de Leon to see how really good is. So far is a good counter puncher , has good power , timing , accuracy but with poor opponents. I would like to see him how he would manage against one/two guys that i mentioned.
...in boxing every dog has his day....you are the best unitl the best come to town!!He reminded me of Wilfred El Radar Benitez...in many ways!!
