    Jermaine Taylor
Did this guy grow up in Latvia or Little Rock. Because he fights just like your stereotypical mainland European. Great jab, good power, no lateral movement nor head movement. And its not like he doesnt have the athleticism to employ it. He leans forward with his chin in the air, giving up his height and reach advantage, which is fine, Mayweather does it from time to time, but as a bait tactic and a way to set up the lead right, and he is able to move his upper body and legs to dip and duck under shots. Taylor however has no head movement and just stands there blocking punches with his gloves, taking punishment. AND HE STILL HAS BAD STAMINA. Taylor stands there and jabs with you and he still gets tired in the championship rounds and he's not even moving. :patsch

    Devon Alexander
I admit I drunk the kool-aid on this kid. I scored Koltenik vs Alexander a draw. With the swing rounds all in Alexanders favor at the time because he was one of my favorite fighters of course. But I scored Alexander for Mattyhsee clearly for Matthysee. Alot of people including me had Alexander as Mayweather's successor. Never figured he was as good as Mayweather, but I figured he'd defeat Khan, Bradley, and win a couple titles at Welterweight and maybe beyond. A mainstay on the P4P top 10. Boy was a I wrong. Kid much like Berto could spar the empire state building and miss every shot. No accuracy whatsoever. Porous defense aswell. And he "Ha ha ha" everytime he throws gets kinda bad when he's missing every shot wide. Great workrate, really good stamina, can be slick from time to time, but no single shot accuracy and when he throws combinations its mostly shoe shining.

    Jeff Lacy
What can be said that hasnt already been said. I believe Jeff Lacy was the victim of Black Guy with Muscles syndrome. See the same thing going down with Tavoris Cloud, even though Cloud is showing the same deficiency that Lacy does. The fact that Lacy used to spar with Winky Wright makes you have to wonder what kind of beatdowns did Winky put down on Lacy in the gym. If Lacy cant KO you, Lacy is in for a long night. KO'd a bunch of C level fighters in a weak division. Built up a Tyson esq hype train. But the signs that he wasnt they all dominating beast were present in the Sheika fight. Then Calzaghe slapped him to death. One the worst whippings in boxing history. Lacy looked so so so slow. Calzaghe who's never been a defensive genius, but more slippery then people get him credit for correctly defined Lacy in that fight when he went back to his corner "He cant hit ****". After the fight Lacy gets injured, and the only thing that made him a decent pro and maybe could have given him a decent career was gone. Thank god that fight against the UFC dude didnt come off, Lacy could have possibly embarrassed boxing with that one.

    Domminick Guinn

the guys you listed atleast were successful beating Hopkins twice and drawing Winky is not disappointing

Alexander was a unified champ and is still young and able to achieve more

Lacy was an undefeated champ bested by a veteran champ who had a bad style match up, he got ruined by injury and his prime shorted out

but these 3 do not disappoint more than Guinn who was a big time bust

Jermaine and Jeff did the best they could and never quit.

Alexander quit in the fight with Bradley, that's what is really disappointing.

Dirrell, considering he has only fought in 3 of the last 5 years.

Jermaine Taylor. He doesn't fight slick, and he got stopped by 2 white boys and an Armenian.

I'd vote for Paul Williams. Great to watch but could have been much more successful.

Dirrell most definitely. High tailed it out of the Super Six after what was his best performance up until the bizarre ending.

Everyone picked Dirrell to be crushed in the Super Six. He was robbed of victory in foreign territory against the 2nd place finisher in the Super Six in only his 18th professional fight, and schooled the then favorite Abraham before being subject of a vicious foul that nearly ended his career.

He just turned 28 a few months ago and may not even have entered his prime yet.

This list is for fighters who more or less failed to live up to the hype and best days are past them.

I know Alexander is young. But think he's progressed as far as he can go unless he gets a different trainer. Alexanders game would require a massive overall. Dirrell just needs some fine tuning.
