What has Lucian Buté achieved that Jeff Lacy hasn't?

    I watched Calzaghe-Lacy fight many, many times, in HD. There was no covered in blood, Lacy was soundly beaten and frustrated but he didn't look close to being knocked out.

    What a load of bollocks. Lacy was ****ing badly cut on both eyes and bleeding out the nose in that one. How was there ****ing blood all over both of there shorts. What a load of ****, Peril's 101's alt... And the douche has obviously never seen that fight.

    1. Bute achieved at least one win over a legit world class contender (Glen Johnson).
    2. Bute is still undefeated and avenged the one fight that could be considered a loss (Andrade) by KO.

    There you go all there, don't forget what Lacy did to Reid who had just beaten a prime MaGee who Bute had loads of problems with years later and who Froch could not beat as convincingly as Lacy did.

    Well Bute was about the same age as Lacy was against Calzaghe in 08. Lacy beat Reid, Vanderpool (more impressively than Hopkins did not too long after), Sheika etc.

    End of the day I'm sick of all these arm chair fans who take the **** out of boxers on here but have probably not had 1 amature fight. Lacy qualified and competed in the Olympics and won an IBF title. Anyone who's boxed knows how hard that is to do.

    Johnson was coming off a loss and never much at SMW
    Just a note on G Johnsons SMW career -
    In 14 SMW fights Johnson has lost 8 of them.
    Johnson has lost at SMW to -

    M Sosa who had 5 losses and 2 draws, and lost his next 2 fights after beating Johnson
    Kiwanuka who had 3 losses and 2 draws, had lost his last 2 fights coming into his fight with Johnson and his fight after Johnson
    Ottke 16-0 who in fairness was an outstanding SMW boxer
    Vanderpool 27-1 who lost his next fight, but in fairness that was at MW to Hopkins and Vanderpool had a good run after
    Branco 38-4-2 who was a world class SMW and became WBA LHW champ
    Sheika who was 19-1 and lost his next fight, though in fairness that was to Calzaghe.
    Froch WBC champ
    Bute IBF champ

    The SMWs that Johnson has managed to beat
    Campas 3-20-4 coming off of only 2 losses and won his next fight
    Watson 24-16-1, Johnson was his last fight
    Renteria 9-23-5 coming in, whos last 10 fight record before facing Johnson was 0-8-2
    Zimmerman 15-2-0 coming in, who had lost his previous fight and the one after
    A Green 29-2-0 coming in and Johnsons biggest SMW victory

    Its not impressive now is it. Please spare me the robbery talk.
    If any rated SMW losses to Johnson it wont look good on their resume

    I dont need to Boxrec, the facts are there to be seen. What did you make of their first fight for the short time it lasted?
