**** yea. I wanted this fight for so long. Taking out the most skilled and accomplished junior welterweight within the last 6 years is something I thought he could do since before Pacquiao. Bradley will certainly challenge him as a complete fighter, and I think Marquez will be the first to dethrone him.

Like the fight, but Marquez should have continued to act like he'd retire if he didn't get Pacquiao IV. Statements like this basically give Arum the green light to make Pacquiao-Cotto II, which would be just as uncompetitive as before and which no one should really want next.

I see Bradley eating alot of uppercuts on the inside. The problem here for JMM is that Bradley is very strong on the inside. I do no think he has to power to stop JMM but he has the physical strength to trouble him.
I think a Lamont Peterson fight would probably be the best for JMM. Peterson does some nice work on the inside and I would love to see JMM and Peterson fighting on the inside.
Bradley is always a messy fight since he does tend to lead with his head and JMM bruises very easily.

The JMM that showed up against Pac would pick these guys apart.

This is the content of the B-Scene article:

Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6-1, 39KOs), the lightweight world champion of the WBA and the WBO, is going to explore his options for 2012. The Mexican star is looking to have a fourth fight with Manny Pacquiao, the WBO's welterweight champion. If no deal is made for Pacquiao, Marquez is willing to chase a world championship at 140-pounds, but he's not interested in an all-Mexican showdown with Erik Morales. He would rather fight undefeated WBO king Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12KOs).

"My plans are not to retire, and I am focused on the fourth fight against Manny Pacquiao. So far I do not know if it will happen in May or all the way in November. If [the fight] is not made soon, then I look for another great opportunity, like Timothy Bradley, the WBO's junior welterweight champion," Marquez said. "[Morales] is a great fighter, very good, but there are other opponents who are bigger, like Bradley. I want to face the best, and that's what I remember Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns doing."

As previously reported, Marquez refuses to fight Pacquiao in Las Vegas. He would fight the Filipino champion in Mexico or a neutral location like Texas.

"With Pacquiao I said I would fight him, but outside of Las Vegas, where I was robbed [in more than one fight] against him. I doubt he would agreed to come to Mexico, or Azteca Stadium in Mexico. We could fight in Texas. I am able to fill the Azteca, but with prices according to the economy. I still hope to fight for one or two more years. At my age I can not think about continuing to fight for too many years. Boxing is dangerous, and no matter how much money you can win, you won't be able to buy another brain. "

Real talk; he's planning smart, but also showing plenty of class and a warrior's spirit.

Bradley is strong but he's incredibly sloppy on the inside. He's effective at getting there, but Marquez may be content to just lay there on the ropes and become the more accurate puncher; his defense in the pocket greatly increased from Diaz to Katsidis, as we saw him move his head a lot more instead of trying to inefficiently maintain distance over 12, and barely got hit after that 3rd round knockdown. Peterson I think would be even stronger than Bradley on the inside and hits harder I think, but again, Marquez would get the better of him. It's comparable risk but beating Bradley first makes more sense, I feel. If he were to fight Peterson after, then he would have established himself with a bang at 140. Khan would be the biggest challenge, and Maidana is always dangerous, but I feel Marquez has a shot to beat all of them. Let Rios come up too. Let them all come!

That's what I love about JMM; if he moves up (or down I suppose), he takes on the best immediately. Barrera as his first fight at 130 before fighting Juarez nad Pacquiao, Casamayor and Diaz straight away at 135, Mayweather and Pacquiao at 144, and now targeting the big dogs at 140. Gotta respect that.

This fight would have all the action and excitement the Bradely-Alexander fight never had. The winner could then face the winner of Pacquiao-Peterson.

Well Marquez would actually be fighting him at his best weight, something utterly alien to Team Pacquiao unless they're going up against faded vets or no-hopers.

Marquez is actually gonna move to 140 and come in at the limit to beat the top dog at 140 and ultimately become the man at 140 legitimately like a true warrior.. no catch weight bs or having Bradley move up...
